Question about the new perk Wicked
So I was reading the wiki on Sable's perks and it says here the perk will be changed from PTB to a different effect.
The new effect will be:
Grants the ability to successfully unhook yourself when hooked inside the Basement. The Aura of the Killer is revealed to you for 16/18/20 seconds after unhooking yourself or being unhooked.
So do you get to unhook yourself only on the first stage or both stages?

I imagine it will only be on 1st hook stage, which if so will mean it is a pretty bad perk overall

That's a horrible perk then. Why would anyone take a perk that only works on the first hook in the basement? That makes no sense. At least on both stages it would be niche but quasi-useful if all the stars align. First stage only is super weak.

90% of the perks in this game are horrible or very niche that's why the meta is so stale

They were probably thinking about all the knuckle heads summoning demons in the basement for 2 mins when they made this. With a perk name like wicked though it should be cool and completely reworked once everyone’s done being a bonehead in the basement when the new chapter drops.

I know it was clarified that the aura reading only works on the basement hook, I didn't hear anything about it only being first stage though.

And yeah that perk is terrible if it's first stage only, I'd rather just run deliverance lol

Yeah it’s basically a hybrid breakdown and deliverance for basement only. Idk about you but I tend to not try looping killers around basement bc I take note of where it is, and end up in it pretty rarely, bc the disadvantage of being in it can be very hard to come back from depending on variables, but at least there’s basekit BT now that helps to mitigate some of that.

I mean, even on both stages it would be a terrible Perk. Because the Basement is not as important anymore. It was, back in the day, because Sabotage was a thing and the Killer had to rely on it a bit more to gain more pressure. Nowadays, you really should not bring Survivors to the Basement unless you want to camp or it is really, really close. Let alone that Scourge Hooks exist, which encourage you to NOT use the Basement.
So bringing a Perk which MIGHT let you unhook in the Basement is just a wasted Perk Slot. You can better just bring Deliverance, it is an easier activation requirement and is less niche.
It was mentioned on the Discord that the Unhook attempts are successful. You dont have Unhook-attempts in second stage. I am also very sure that it was written in the PTB Feedback-Section that it only works on the first Hook, but this is not accessible anymore.

That's so bad. I hope the make it for both hooks. Then it might actually have some relevance. Atm it's just a much worse Deliverance.
