Why playing Leg (Legion)?

Legion, was the first killer I buy of all killer

The person who introduce me at this game was a Legion main (and each time she talk about, she love Franck for an unknow reason), so, I was also trying myself to play him, before getting Oni..

Now, if we look about the killer rooster, almost everyone are "unique", lot of killer have a "similar" power than the other, they can be in some case, like "trap killer" (trapper, hag, artist, skull, hux,...) for exemple

But... What about Legion? Why playing Legion, who run fast and "stabby stabby" everyone without downing survivor when I can play... Oni, Wesker, Blight, Chucky? Even the Hag can be faster and deadly than Legion, so why playing him? Even the survivor prefer to DC because of the deepwound simulator, so even with that, you don't get some benefits..

Lot of killer run faster than him and get some additionnal power with that, and even if we take the vault power with the running... Wesker can do it and even make the survivor infected if he hit them, and chucky just regenerate his dash attack and can do all the map if everything is aligned, and Leg, just run for twenty second and get some asthma if he can't stab anyone during this times

If I take another exemple, with the trapper killer, each of them is pretty different, you can't say that trapper is the same than hag, or Skull, Hux, or the artist (who are more an ranged killer than trapper, but you can play both this role with her), I can play eaéch of these killer and not having the same feeling about they power, trapper can snowball any team if they are not too obvious and can be a nightmare if the have enough time for trapping all he want, hag can cover all the map and get a lot of hit or down in less than two minute, skull can just delete some loop for survivor without effort, hux is just big brothers, they are not comparable, even if they power are "pretty much" the same, same role, but different playstyle

and if we take this in consideration, about all the killer who run fast (I forgot billy in the list, sorry), Legion have nothing, everything he do, he's the worst version of [insert name of a killer who run fast]

And, it's a little sad when you know that he gonna get a comics for him, some people seems to really like him, and he his bad... A noob stomper, maybe, he is free, Yeah, I guess, but if you take away the fanbase, just for his style or whatever, he have nothing for him

I'm sorry to be a little pessimistic about this killer, but I fell to say that here, and seeing opinion from other people about this

They are fun and easy. Their power allows them to hit and run effectively because survivors are forced to deal with deep wounds instead of gens. If you get lucky you can get the 5th hit down. Also, the killer instinct detection is great.

I found him fun when I beginning to play DBD, but now, I feel more like I said, forgettable

If you get lucky, yes, or if you play with the pills and the mural sketch, you can get pretty much all your game an 5th hit

But the killer instinc, really help you for your power, sometimes when one survivor try to hide, but after that, this is not really... Sometimes who give me the envy to play him instead of the other

Please think of the Legion as a type that specializes in understanding the board surface. It is very important for the killer to know where the survivors are and what they are doing, and by inflicting injuries on the survivors and finishing them off when they are unable to move, they force the survivors to rebuild their situation.

If it's boring, it's not really a killer to play.

I have 2.5khrs but i still enjoy them. They are really good at learning to 1v4. I don't think any other killer can really do what legion does.

Ohw... You get a really good point here... Thank you

Yeah, that's what techno said, If you think about him like a killer who help you to understand some basic mechanics of the game, he is pretty good..

But i also think they are probably the best hit and run killer because of deep wound. Injuring survivors doesn't stop survivors from doing generators which makes the strategy feel unviable on other killers.

Mend simulator is the worst type of match. I hate Legion

Oni is also good on hit and run strat

Wesker have some synergy with some of these add-on for hit and run

Legion, you are forced to play "hit and run", you can synergize with the pin add-on or some other for seeing aura and stuff... But, except the fact that this killer help new player into the killer scene, he doesn't have much

That make point for survivor to mend (that's a joke)

I started playing DBD only for Legion's lore, and they are still my favorite up to this day.

Legion has a lot of thing I like gameplay wise : their power is really easy to use, really consistant and give both info and slow down.

The fact that you almost always have to rely on basic M1 to get downs isn't problematic either as it force you to go for mind games. Legion don't get free downs most of the time, you have to work to get them.

Legion can also get value from almost every perks from the game where M2 killers mostly can't. And some of his addons can get mad synergy with some perks.

So even if hit and run is their base gameplay, you can play Legion way more differently than killers like PH or Knight for exemple.

And that's without mentionning non gameplay element as their look, chase team, 4 members, and so on.

Easily one of the strongest killers for console players to play. Speed removes 360s, don't need mouse to get hits. (Nurse and blight are unplayable on console, wesker, hux, alien, chucky, huntress, trickster are all highly disadvantaged without mouse)

The reason why I play legion still to this day was when original legion existed I just bought the game and looked up what killers were overpowered for an advantage and bought legion in April of 2019

If they're not for you OP, they're not for you. Sometimes you just don't vibe with a certain Killer and that's OK.

I like them because they have the best chase music in the game, they look cool as hell, it's fun to run at Sonic The Hedgehog speeds and vaulting over stuff is a blast (though I'm sure Legion has lost a little bit of their unique charm for some players now that there are two other Killers with much stronger vaulting abilities). They're mechanically simple and easy for pretty much anyone to pick up and play. I also think they have the best info power in the game.

I personally like to play strategically to pressure gens and The Legion helps me to do that. With Susie's mixtape and Distressing, you can get really good intel on which gens are being worked on and you can use their power to zip across the map to harass any Survivors that like to sit on gens. On a small map, they can be especially oppressive in this regard.

i do think they could use some buffs but BHVR don't seem to agree. Probably because they over perform at low MMR.They could buff certain aspects of their kit that would make very little difference to low MMR but might help them be a little more competitive against Survivors that know how to counter their power.

It's an easy and straight forward power, so it's a killer that is good for beginners. You have a power to gives you information, injures survivors and forces them away from gens and you play M1 killer for the second half of the chase. That is not bad and it's a lot easier to do than using Oni, Wesker, Chucky or Blight's powers to get the same results.

Legion doesn't have a lot that can be countered by survivors or messed up by you. Other killers often do. With Wesker you could miss, with Blight you'll need to have some understanding of maps and hitboxes and you can still be spun and Oni is pretty hard to play on a decent level because you'll need to learn how to flick and still play a good amount of M1 killer to get your power.

I play them because vaulting over stuff fast and running is fun. Don't get me wrong, their tracking and slowdown via mend is cool and all but I can still pull some sick plays. Lunging in front of them or cancelling power at a pallet or window to make them go somewhere else. There's some skill if you know where to look. And when all that means nothing to someone, just remember how fun it is to vault pallets and stab like it's nobody's business.

Legion is a cheap killer imo... you get cheap hits/free injures you do not really earn and that survivors have very little chance to avoid.

To balance that Legion has nothing much else going for them so while you get free cheap shots, you still have to win chases which is a problem for some.

I find the mending aspect of Legion very tedious to verse but I find a lot of them are bad in chase which makes them tolerable. If my team mates continually heal I tend to want get out of that match ASAP though

I love legion because they are easy to play and really don't require much knowledge outside standard killer knowledge to play them. The other killers you listed(Wesker, oni, Chucky, trapper and ect) requires significant knowledge to play. Like Wesker you have to know few techniques and mechanical skills to perform on him especially in higher MMR loddies. Personally I don't have the reflex or speed to play killers that requires flicking or fast movement. That why I find Chucky and Obi extremely hard to play. I like my m1 killers that are simply to understand and easy to learn. I play games to have fun not to work hard.
