What's the point of playing against Skull Merchant?
People still give up on their first hook, Dull merchant killers still play chess, trying to force a 3-gen and the anti 3-gen is doing about as much as the anti-facecamp. Novel idea, but horrendous in practice and utterly useless in SoloQ. To top it off they all HAVE TO SLUG for the 4K. Why even bother playing against them?
How is that ^ entire scenario passible for "sportsmanship"??

At that rate, you could ask what the point of playing against any killer is, especially ones who 3-gen.

Took a break to escape them and first game on I had one. Left a sour taste the entire gaming session yesterday. No motivation to play today.

I can't blame the survivors though. Playing against her is just too miserable.

None of the others do. They actually play the game and chase.

I don't know, I guess this must be just some kind of region or MMR difference. I rarely see Skull Merchants, and when I do see them, they're just playing her normally.
Maybe there's some other region or MMR bracket where these SM players really are causing problems like this, but it sure as hell isn't mine.
Even then, though, I generally object to one annoying playstyle being used to dismiss an entire killer. It'd be like saying "What's the point of playing against Leatherface/Huntress" because a lot of them facecamp, or "What's the point of playing against Artist/Knight" because a lot of them just drop their power at loops. It's not exactly constructive.

The moment i hear her music in the match my face goes MEHH. And I throw the mouse for a good minute to contemplate how utterly stupid this match is gonna be. And I have no intention to take part in it.

I'm not even going to explain a thing to you, seeing your forum pfp. That answers enough.
Same. I'd rather uninstall this entire game than play against her for another 30+ minute game. Which is something gamers that play her just love to do.

You have forbidden options available to you. Or you can wait until she is changed which is unlikely to happen anytime soon.

I have to agree, I have let seen a 3 genning SM ever since her last rework. Meanwhile I have seen plagues, sing, and trappers 3 genning way more often. The few SM I have had just play the game somewhat normal. They use her power in chases like intended and rarely just sit in one location on the map. Reality is that if a killer wants to 3 gen it doesn't matter what killer they on, they will 3 gen no matter what.

I think that you might have a different mmr/region than I do. I haven't seen Trapper/Sing in ages. Mostly Blights/Billy's/Nurses and the odd ones out are usually Dull Merchants.

I think she's fine to play against. Survivors just haven't gotten used to her new kit and are mostly unaware of her changes.

it is probably low MMR because in low MMR, 3 gen is difficult for a team to counter because there is already lack of cohesion at that level of play. Completing a single gen is like crazy feat. so expecting a intense cohesion to combat killer's strategy is unlikely.
a defensive 3 gen play-style is extremely easy to pull as killer but not easy to counter as survivor. It is like facecamping insidious bubba.

I entirely understand why survivors play like that against her, she sucks to go against. I had the misfortune of going against her 3/5 matches for a whole week. I just gave up playing survivor for the week. The perfect word to describe her is "disaster"

Non of them is effective as like SM.
SM is building stacks on survivors which they can never remove until they lose health state by full stacks. So she does not need to do anything special. Just put drones on 3 gens, keep patrol this area, slowly build stacks on survivors and the moment comes get them all down.
Anti 3-gen is barely doing anything because she does not need to hostage people in game anymore. She can kill faster than before.

i already play soloq. when my team is strong, 3 gen are easy to break. I don't consider skull merchant or 3 gens a problem anymore. these post are clear learn to play issues.

When your team is strong being keyword. When someone instantly gives up upon seeing her it's a different story, so get off your high horse. And if your gameplay is so amazing share the vids of your soloq matches against her.

someone giving up is not killer issue. it is survivor entitlement that has accumulated from BVHR hand-holding survivor.

If the community really wants the Skull Merchant to be reworked again, maybe gaining a completely new power, survivors need to continue doing what they are doing (for the most part afaik), which is "sucking at going against her", if you know what I mean
