After being unhooked, STOP RUNNING!

Nothing is more irritating than unhooking a survivor and watching them run to the opposite side of the map without stopping while you trail them waiting for them to stop so you can heal or be healed.

My god in heaven, people. Stop being stupid. Do you hear a heartbeat? NO! Then sit there and heal or be healed.

So irritating and usually ends up with the killer finding you faster than if you hadn't moved from the hook at at all.

Of course, all of this is case by case. However, he warns that many survivors are too blind to their foolish actions and give the killer an advantage.

You are aware that the killer returned to the hook already twice after an unhook, and he is not in a chase at the moment. You see the pattern? No, i wont stay at the hook, because you start running before me anyway so you dont have to take that protection hit.

I know, because it happened oh so many times.

I don't heal under hook. There are a few killers that can come right back and catch you out, Xeno, Wraith, Skull Merchant, Billy, Blight, Chucky, Demo. It's best to find a spot covered away from hook atleast then if the killer comes back they have to spend time searching for you and if they do find you there's a chance you are healed by then.

It really depends the scenario when You actually can heal right before unhooking or not, in my case I usually heal right before unhooking when I use the healing build composed by We'll make it, Botany Knowledge and Desperate Meassures since the heal can be really fast even if the killer has Sloppy Butcher, keep in mind to wait until the terror radious is gone to unhook and see if you actually have time to finish the heal right before unhooking.

Depends as healing under the hook is generally a stupid idea but many survs insist on doing this even when it is clearly a bad idea.

That being said, I am a solo queue Andy so I always run We'll Make It and it does drive me nuts when team mates want to run to Narnia or outright refuse to take a speedy heal.

I get wanting to hammer out gens but I will always accept a We'll Make It heal after being unhooked

I think it really depends on the Killer's personality. If I know the Killer has returned to the hook before to pick off the injured party, then it might be a good idea to leave the area if they're not currently in chase. But if I see the We'll Make It icon pop up, then it's usually a smart play to heal straight away.

If the Killer is playing mostly for fun or is a bit more chill and doesn't return to unhooks, then it's OK to stay put. Sometimes it might be worth the risk even if the Killer is nearby, so long as the Survivor that unhooked you has a healing perk or a med kit.

It's normally a bad idea to heal under the hook against stealth Killers, high mobility Killers like Blight / Billy / Xeno or ranged Killers like Huntress. But there's no one size fits all approach.

I don't mind being a bit risky with under the hook heals since I like to run Sprint Burst to make a quick getaway.

100%. I've lost track of the amount of times where a killer will drop chase when an unhook occurs and come right back to tunnel. Move to the nearest loop, so you can at least waste the killer's time if they return, even if you can't get the heal off in time.

Unless the unhooker has We'll make it, it is often smart to not heal at all and go for the next gen.

If they run further than the closes safe loop then I figure they don't want to be healed

Healing right under hook just after being unhooked isn't a smart idea especially if the killer isn't doing anything at the moment, maybe if they are in a chase on the opposite side of the map and aren't a mobility killer

Why not just do a gen? Being obsessed with healing usually ends up getting everyone killed.

And I'm definitely not going to heal anyone after being unhooked outside of very specific situations. That's crazy.

Yes, stay at the hook area and let the killer tunnel them

The fact that stealth killers/undetectable/oblivious exists makes me point to this comment and say "Please listen to this advice" because it's how I get a majority of my kills on my stealth killers.

Unless you're running a speed healing build and unhook knowing the killer is far away enough, you're gonna get jumped.
