Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Strength In Shadows takes 23 seconds to heal you with the new buff.

It’s not as good as other healing perks, but if paired with Botany Knowledge and Desperate Measures it can be very strong. The aura reading part is also good if your playing in solo queue.

The time it saves compared to Selfcare will not make up the time you run into the basement and leaving it.

If you're free to finish self healing in basement, you dont need Killer's aura. They're probably in chase with a teammate.

You don't even need Desperate Measures, just Botany does the trick.

I don't know what the exact numbers are now, but on the PTB this perk + Botany Knowledge was a 17 second heal. That's damn close to just being as fast as someone else healing you, which is very strong.

When it comes to self-heal perks, I think it genuinely might be the strongest. That's not a field with especially stiff competition, though, and something like Inner Strength would carry less risk so some might still prefer that.

    Should be about 15 seconds. (0.7 * 1.5 = 1.05 ; 16 / 1.05 = 15.23809523809524)

I would honestly say it is stronger than every other healing perk, but not stronger than the strongest way to self heal (medkits).

Not only that, but Self-Care is probably never going to be used again.

It can be healed in almost the same amount of time as it would take to be healed by someone else, so it is a fairly usable perk. However, I would still prefer Self Care Botany.

For all underground perks, it is important to complete the surrounding gens so that the killer does not approach, so this will be a bottleneck.

I think the time spent self caring with self care botany would be more time than running to the basement and self caring with strength in shadows and botany

If paired up with those then yeah it's strong. But I can't imagine anyone making a build around a healing perk that only works in basement. If you were gonna do that sort of build then you're better off bringing Self Care instead so you can heal anywhere.
