Is it possible to remove chat after a match?
it's completely pointless and it's just people taunting you and softly insulting you without actually throwing slurs. example. EZ, baby killer or baby survivor. all useless things we don't need. so I hope we can get a feature to completely turn off chat. sometimes I hate the pc version of DBD just because of this chat feature and it makes me appreciate this game A LOT on ps5 or xbox series X

There should be a little arrow button near the chat box that hides it until you click it again. Hit that and just pretend the chat isn't there if that's what you're looking for.

The endgame chat can be very kind.. Especially vs streamer and average player.

Agree with Hexonthebeach some players out there are very nice and have some kind words for the otherside. I appreciate these little moments because with these players your matches are always fun. As a result, I feel sorry for you and other players that need to close the endgamechat because of some sh**heads that give other players a miserable feeling. Unfortunately, this game has ways to give other players a bad time without any punishment due to the lack of security and safely and it is so sad that the developers do very little against this even though this is a longtime issue and a big topic. However, I really hope the closed endgamechat by pressing the arrow button will help you to have less of these bad moments and to enjoy the game/matches more.

streamer are probably the worst to encounter.
sure there are many very chill and kind streamer out there but for every nice person there is a load of them that are the most self loving, curses and hate spreading people i have ever seen.
if it would not make the already bad matchmaking even worse i would drop every lobby with one of these TTV psychos. righting this i realise its almost only streamer that advertise there stream by using ttv in there name that act like #########

I am the complete opposite, I play on PlayStation and I always hope survivors message me after a game, rather to say ggs (very rarely, almost never) or to throw insults like you said (makes my whole day), I wish there was a universal end game chat

I keep chat on because it's an easy report when someone rages out and starts spamming slurs.

Yes there are toxic streamer, too. I think everytime one nice comment a day negates 10 ez's. 🙂

Arguably there should be a menu option, or it remembers your choice to click the arrow to close/open chat between matches. That way if you closed endgame chat last match, it starts closed at the end of the next. The menu option could simply be Default On/Default Off/Remember Last.

I'm the opposite... I think everyone should have to read it. Call out the tunneling and camping. Or better yet... separate the console with PC. Consoles have an advantage anyhow

What advantage do us consolers have? Not having that chat box?

An option to turn off chat in the settings would be great, both before game and end-game.

End game chat is toxic in the vast majority of games. It does nothing other than let simple minded people spew hate and insult the other side
Why people get so worked up over a video game is beyond me.
If you lost go on to the next game. If you win go on to the next game. It's that simple.
If you're over the age of 12 and posting toxic comments then you really need to take a good hard look at yourself.
And if you post anything along the lines of #########, end yourself etc it should be a permanent ban.
Kids do take their life over cyber bullying and anyone who thinks this is acceptable or funny in a video game has a serious problem.

I commented on another thread that I would like to see the "Thumbs Up" replaced with a drop down list of BHVR pre-written comments that could be sent to other players. That would give console players a voice that would be fast to use. I would expect that 8-10 options would cover the large majority of situations, from "Good game", "Sorry for that, I had a challenge/ritual", "See you're new, stay with it!" , "Some of your game play was a bit sus", "Thanks for taking the risk to save me!", "It was safe enough to at least attempt a save :-( " among them. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to get a pretty comprehensive, non-toxic list.
