How come direct hits with the projectile don't count as a hit? Doesn't make sense.

it should definetely count as a hit, they can remove the hindered if its that big of a deal.

I suppose it's to make him different from other ranged killers. You have to aim at the survivors feet and use the bounce to secure the hit.
I've had no real issue with it tbh

Because you can hit trough wall
If it was counting as a hit, you can just obliterate everyone
