Pre-dropping pallets.

How isn’t there a perk that punishes pre-dropping? I get it as a way to stop insta downs like billy and oni, but against Freddy, Trapper, and Wrath? I feel like we need something

    Dissolution and Brutal Strength can eat resources like nobodies business. Especially if they get predropped.

    Brutal Strength does almost nothing. Dissolution requires an injury and you have to force them to fast vault. Brutal Strength needs to be buffed to 50% tbh.

    Dissolution tells the survivors that you're running it which kinda defeats the entire purpose. Brutal is good, but could be better.

    Why do we need a perk that does this?

    There's already so many killers that can injure over dropped pallets, yes m1 killers struggle with that but not every killer can be high tier and they excel in other areas.

    You don't need a perk for pre-drops, you just need your A/D key to work. Pre-drops can be walked around or Bloodlusted in the vast majority of circumstances.

    This is a super boring answer, but slowdown perks are arguably an effective counter. Pre-dropping survivors will be more likely to burn through all the important pallets on the map before the game's over, so they have be less wasteful.

    Freddy and Trapper do not excel in other areas, it's why they trade spots for worst killer in the game for a lot of people. The only thing I can really say they're both good at is that weird Gate tech that can kill survivors using the endgame timer. Otherwise, Trapper gets the best basement camping in the game and Freddy gets screwed.

    That aside, yeah, I agree we don't really need a perk for this.

    50%, lol. You cannot be serious.

    The thing is, with Dissolution they have to decide if they want to vault the Pallet (and trigger Dissolution) or not vaulting the Pallet, which might result in a Hit.

    I wouldnt go 50% but yeah brutal does feel useless with some maps. (Garden of joy 5 pallets within 24 meters anyone?) So yeah dropping chase and using regression or stall is your best case with how some maps are designed. Luckily not all survivors are that knowledgeable. Or know when to maximize a predrop.

    I would be down for a perk like that if it was fair. You got any ideas for a perk that would hurt pre droppers but not give instant down killers a free down? Also keep in mind killers who can keep you injure no matter what like legion and plague. I'm not sure how one would balance such a perk but i would love to hear any ideas.

    you shouldn't kick all pre dropped pallets and a map shouldn't have that many must-kick pallets; so such a perk wouldn't serve its intended purpose and definitely would be broken.

    Removal of pallets that you could have used to stun the killer is it's own penalty. Pre-drop the shack pallet at 5 gens and see how quickly your fellow survivors chew you out in the end-game chat.

    If the survivors are pushing the objective, it doesn’t matter. There are more than enough pallets if survivors decide to do gens. The “wasting resources” thing is a huge myth. That’s why as killer I pick an area of the map to defend, since you can’t afford to go on cross map chases.

    To add onto my statement, it’s mainly people who run to every single pallet they can find, pre-drop it, then book it to the next one and sprint around it


    ^ WOW. It’s not like 45% of the pallets are in corridors or have some sort of obstacle next to them. Making pre-dropping way more powerful in those areas. I’m just saying if a killer can’t do too many actions or certain actions without it effecting them (Kicking gens and face camping -thank god they got rid of FC’ing I even hated it-) why can survivors pre-drop and endlessly pallet vault?

    If you do the math, a predrop of a god pallet adds 20 seconds to a chase. You do that at the start of the game, predrop shack, and 1 other god pallet, and the killer just lost 3 gens even if you shift + w to a corner of the map at that point.

    It’s an entire perk slot, so yes I’m dead serious lmao. Would you rather them run Pain Rez?, Corrupt, or Pop?

    More attention should be given to Brutal. Could be a good perk for the m1 killers if it was even 35%, but as it stands, the difference is almost imperceptible.

    Run Brutal Strength and Fire Up together though it's at the cost of two perk slots.

    Brutal Strength is useful enough. Please use it without making a mistake in the direction in which you push the opponent survivor.

    (I'm assuming you aren't making the claim that 45% of pallets are God Pallets)

    Most of those corridor pallets are only effective on certain approach angles. Look at the RPD Trophy Room pallet that you can combine with the hole room for a longer run. If the Survivor approaches from the Chief's office, that pallet is far less valuable. We can also look at the Lery's Reception desk Pallet. If the Killer isn't stunned on pallet drop, they will be able to round the waiting couches and get a hit. Also the Killer still has the choice of which side to kick from. That provides the Killer a valuable tool to use for their advantage in corralling Survivors to a deadzone they likely just created.

    Even then, most pallets still provide more value while standing than dropped. It is good that Survivors can pre-drop and endlessly vault, because the majority of the time that is a mistake to capitalize on. Mr TatorHead creates guides on how to most efficiently loop on maps on nearly every facet of the map. As Killer, this is still a valuable tool, because you can recognize the counter, or if you should chase someone else (when it is too strong). I watched most of his map guides to equip myself with that counter-knowledge. You can see how in-depth he goes with the video length. If you watch one of these to completion, I honestly believe you will come around to love those foolish pre-droppers.

    Now I'm not saying you have to spend 5 hours and 21 minutes of your life learning Eyrie, but I truly think you would come around on this issue if you did. Regardless, best of luck with your matches.

    Predrop pallets give alot more advantage to killers than survivors. Why do people complain 1 pallet down for each 5sec? While some survivor can loops 1 pallet for 30sec.

    Buff brutal strength to punish predrop pallet. Means to make survivors not able to reach to another title to play but getting a hit. Would be the same to survivors make a good play to loops at a title for 1min but still get Brutal strength treatment and get hit before reaching to another title.

    Brutal strength may need a side effect buff, given each kick saves 0.44sec, but not pure number.
