Which side stresses you out the most?
I don't think I ever got tilted playing as Survivor even if I'm getting tunneled. In fact I want to get chased it's pretty fun, I die then I just immediately queue again alt tab then listen to music while I'm playing.
While it's the exact opposite for the Killer. I wouldn't say I get tilted but it can get somewhat stressful here and there. Maybe it's the fact that there's completely different mentality when I'm playing as Killer. I have to really pay attention to the match and get a good grasp on what's currently going on inside the trial. It gives me a competitive mindset.
What about you?

They both can be stressful at times but in different ways.
Survivor is more of a frustrating stress. You try your hardest and everything is going well but then a teammate decides to throw the game and you lose and there was nothing you could do about it. It feels so frustrating to have such a good game go so bad because someone suddenly remembered they don't like Trickster.
Killer however is more of a "I'm a failure" type stress. You try your hardest and play fun and fair yet you are still greeted with GG EZ and butt dances that just make you feel like a disappointment. You know you shouldn't let it get to you, but it does.
Honestly though these feelings are very rare and I don't really get stressed out that much on either side but I'd say the survivor stress is more common but the killer stress feels much worse.
To anyone though who does feel really stressed out from this game, please take a break. Your mental health is worth so much more than it. And once you come back you will have so much more fun :)

From my experience, solo queue survivor is easy to get stressed from because there's nobody to talk to compared to SWF, less goofy moments and stuff to laugh at and more stress from being lead to 3rd hook stage because the other three survivors were hiding in corners or I got tunneled out of the game. With friends, at least I have people to goof off with while we get tunneled out of the game. Even if we lose as survivor while playing with friends the games are pretty chill, it's what makes DBD a good social game.
As killer I tend to just relax. Focus on getting the sickest clips. Hook as much as possible for bloodpoints! I can get annoyed at times, but everybody does.
Well said. I typically take breaks from DBD for a year and a half, come back for another year and a half, and then take another break for the same duration. Unmeasured, just an estimate of my typical breaks from DBD. Always put your mental health ahead of you, it's good for self control!

Why stress about this game its not like you're getting paid.
2 -
Killer, without question. I get stressed about many things playing killer. Stress about chases, generators, playing optimally. I get stressed about my playstyle, whether I am playing 'fair'. Then if you play fair you have to play even harder or you are stressed about getting teabagged at the exit gates. Then after that you have to stress about what the survivors are going to say in endgame chat, because they almost always have something toxic to say. I'm at the point now where I just play however I want, and expect the toxicity at the end.
Survivor isn't stressful because after seeing that the devs want a <40% winrate on survivor, I just go in not expecting to survive. I make my own fun, have a laugh, say gg and move on.
The only time I get stressed as survivor is when I am completing a ridiculous challenge, or one that requires me to do something specific and then escape. These suck to do in SoloQ and require you to play like a rat. However, the same can be said about killer challenges and these can be even more stressful because you have nobody else to help you. Some of these challenges even require you to play like a jerk for which you will get toxicity in endgame chat.

Killer. No doubt. Everything that goes wrong is entirely on you, you have nobody else there to help you and the feeling that you absolutely cannot lose or you'll be ridiculed make for a a very stressful combination.
As a survivor I know, that I don't have as much impact on the match and that even if I perform less than ideal, there is still a chance I can make it out.

I think killer feels more stressful because its alot of pressure on yourself If you’re trying to do well. After all you can’t blame anyone but you if you fail cause you don’t have a team and that’s scary. What I like about the killer role is the control you get in dictating what kind of match it will be (gen defense, farming, tracking, even what type of killer you pick and what playstyle you want to use with that killer, etc.)
Survivor feels more helpless which is why it’s not as stressful, but because of this it feels more rewarding if you do well cause it feels like beating a game on hard mode. The same reason I don’t like it is the same reason I do, I have no control over my teammates which can lead to stupid dumb misplays or against a killer I’m not the best at versing but it’s because of the chaos of being out of control that makes it feel so good when you survive cause it feels like the odds were stacked against you. And I guess with a 60/40 they literally are lol.
TL;DR Killer feels more stressful, survivor feels more rewarding (imo) I hope everyone has enjoyable games <3

Survivor is generally less stressful because you can blame the other 3 survivors. As a killer you can blame the game but at the end of the day it’s basically all on you. I will say however if I get an indoor map as Huntress I literally don’t stress at all because it’s so unfair for me that there isn’t anything I can do skill wise to change it.

Killer 100%
Solo survivor can be frustrating and killers have the ability to make matches very unpleasant if they wish to play in an unpleasant way.
But at least as survivor I can zone out on a gen, have a laugh and just mess around with other survivors. But killer you get no breaks and its all on you

In most cases, it's not a problem, but when a survivor gives up and commits suicide with one hook, or DCs, it's frustrating whether I'm a survivor or a killer.

Killer.
I dont know how to explain it properly, but survivor also is stressful when i play but it is positive stress. It is excitment. Killer... not so much.
And that is probably also the reason why they keep buffing killer and not going for ballanced aproach in my opinion. Because killer mains are, even tho they win most of the time, probably less satisfied with the game.

Two scenarios I get stressed: -
- The rare occasions I somehow manage to loop a killer for 2 minutes and not a single gen pops.
- The common occasions where I respect a pallet, and the air pressure from it being thrown stuns me anyway 😒

This is my favorite topic on the forums.
Survivor for me.
Reasons why not killer for me.
1: I can't get eliminated. There's no single moment in the game where I get caught that I stress about.
2: Bully squads don't annoy me. I'm not thrilled when I get matched against them, but some killers react like its the worst experience in gaming.
3: Some games are so easy that I usually go in with a relaxed attitude. If it turns out I should have been taking the game seriously and am now way behind, no worries.
4: I rarely feel like I truly lost. One kill? Partial defeat. 4 escapes but lots of hooks, fun game. Hit a really strong SWF? Adjust my expectations.
5: I avoid meta builds so I'm playing with a handicap.
6: Winning decisively as killer is boring. I feel like I'm just mopping up/going through the motions to end the game.
7: I feel no connection to the killer role. I dislike playing villains in video games and dislike being the power role.
Reasons why it is survivor for me (100% soloq player)
1: Others mentioned being able to blame your teammates, my feelings are the reverse. If I let myself down in something, well things like that happen, but I feel like trash if I let other people down. If I screw up a chase I don't feel bad for myself, I feel bad for the others.
2: No matter how good the game is going, it always feels like it can turn around. I never feel like we're safe until the gate is open.
3: The elation of victory corresponds with the game ending. By the time I realize that I / others will escape, we are actually escaping. The game actually has a climatic moment.
4: The crushing of defeat also corresponds with the game ending. Getting eliminated from a game is really tough and just getting caught on the edge of a vault while on death hook is a devastating feeling.
5: The not knowing as survivor is intriguing. Even if I'm just sitting on a gen and someone else is in chase I have no idea how that chase is going to go.
6: Easy to have long losing streaks as survivor, that makes the escapes much more worthwhile.
7: I feel a much stronger connection to the survivor role.

Survivor, not even a question. Best players in this game, that play this as a career, have less stress on killer. So no one here stresses on killer, unless its a massive skill issue. Survivor you have no control over anything, doesn't matter how many hours or experience or tournaments. Solo survivor is the worst experience in this game.

Proabably the surv role because not only are you dealing with killer, but also your teammates which can be a pain both solo and in SWF. Noobs stress me tf out sometimes with their shenanigans. That's okay tho cause I stress my SWF out with some my antics. Especially if I want the smoke for all 5 gens.

If I find myself getting stressed at a game I simply stop playing. Doesnt matter what side, and doesnt matter what game.
Its not meant to be stressful. It is, as said, a game.

Stress isn't the right word for me. It's more like I get frustrated or annoyed.
Survivor affects me more badly in his respect because you can easily play 10 extremely one sided games in a row against Killers that show absolutely no mercy. Even when you and the team clearly can't deal with it they'll still be trying their hardest. I can't complain too much I guess, because I can be this kind of a Killer sometimes.
I find a lot of common Killer perks and strats to be pretty tiresome to face as well (Tunnelling, proxy camping, Sloppy Butcher, Plaything, Devour Hope, Franklins, Pop & Pain Res etc). It's also a lot more difficult to play Survivor well (or at least it is for me).
Survivor has so much more potential to grind me down some days.
Killer is different. I know that after a bad Killer game, I'll probably do a lot better in the next one. You can always switch it up and enjoy a variety of Killers, so that helps as well. On Survivor, your MMR is always the same and the game play loop doesn't change all that much from trial to trial. Killer does require a lot more focus though, so I tend not to play this side of the game if I want to be a bit more relaxed.
There's also gloating and BM encountered on both sides which leaves a bad taste and can ruin the experience. It's not that common, but when it does happen it can put me in a bad mood.

Survivor side stresses me out, hands down. Over 90% of my disconnects are while playing survivor.
Bad enough that playing the killer role is a 4 v 1, them against me.
But then I play survivor and there are matches where it's still a 4 v 1... The killer is trying to kill me and my teammates are trying to get me killed.

Killer is incredibly stressful. So many things to keep track of, bully squads to try to deal with, constant toxic messages no matter how you play... survivor is downright relaxing in comparison.

Killer is more stressful because there's more pressure. I play exclusively SoloQ as survivor and while it can be frustrating and upsetting, losing as survivor isn't a big deal; the game is designed to be easy for survivors to lose so when it happens it's not that much of an issue, just move on to the next mach. But losing as killer means a high chance of four jerks pointing and laughing at you because you're playing the "power role" but still lost. And you can't leave the match until they're done pointing and laughing at you.
I often pick the frustration of SoloQ over the pressure of killer.

Honestly, I don't get stressed out by either role. Like at all. The main reason is cause I don't care about winning or losing. I do what I can. If I get outplayed I get outplayed.
Always going to be someone better, always could have done better etc.. the game is too random to think you can win all the time. Pls the game can be against you sometimes i.e. hit boxes, lag stuff like that.
Why let it get to you? I personally don't. I go in do the best I can, say GG after a win or loss and move on to the next match.
Gl out there. Remember, win and lose with dignity.

Survivor.
It’s not a matter of me being scared of the Killer, I just don’t want to disappoint my teammates, which stresses me a bit.

Generally killer.
But solo queue survivor has its moments that can rival the worst killer games.

Survivor
With Killer, I'm playing by myself so I can just focus on my opponent.

Survivor
Trying to single-handedly power through 7-8 gens against four slowdowns while your teammates get tunneled out or do their archives aint much fun.
Killer is an absolute breeze by comparison.
3 -
Survivor knowing that in certain situations you can do everything right and still lose is super annoying and that's why people turn to swf.
1 -
Killer is massively more stressful. You're often going up against 4 man SWF bully squads that massively outskill you because of the joke that is the SBMM system. Even if SBMM does give you a potato solo queue team to go against, you've still got to sweat out of control because you can't be sure.

Survivor.
As Killer, I am the one responsible for me losing. As Survivor, this might not be the case. Sure, if I play badly, whatever, my fault. But if I have a decent chase and I see that nobody is doing Gens... Way more annoying or stressful than doing badly as Killer.
IMO the lack of control in Survivor-rounds is what makes it more stressful. Your own skill does not matter as much compared to playing Killer. (A 2 minute chase can be a win for the Survivors. But if nobody is doing Gens, this might as well be a 5 second chase...)
