Breakdown Needs Updating

It would be nice if the upgraded tiers increased the length that the hook remains broken instead of how long you see the killer aura for. Now Sable's perk wicked gives much more time seeing the killer aura after being unhooked. Even at the lowest tier wicked gives you more time seeing killer aura than breakdown at the highest tier. The difference between tier 1 breakdown and tier 3 has always been pretty minimal at best. Maybe the hook could remain broken an extra 5, 10, or 15 seconds each tier, so that would add 10, 20, to 30 seconds overall at tier 3. This slight change would give the perk breakdown some benefit for higher tiers instead of higher tiers being obsolete now

    They try to make the differences between tiers of perks quite minimal most of the time. The difference between a T1 Wicked and a T3 Wicked is like 4 seconds.

    Yes and? the difference between T1 breakdown and T3 breakdown is 2 seconds. The ability to see killer aura after being unhooked with breakdown is completely outshined by the same ability just way better with wicked

    I think you misunderstood my entire point. Wicked: "the aura of the killer is shown to you for 16/18/20 seconds" after being unhooked, Breakdown: "the killers aura is revealed to you for 4/5/6 seconds" after being unhooked. So if you want to see killer aura on unhooks tier 1 of wicked gives more than 2.5x the amount of time than tier 3 of breakdown. My point is there's no longer any benefit to breakdown past tier 1 (what benefit there was, was beyond minimal) and having something last 10-30 seconds longer is also a pretty minimal difference.

    Breakdown's main shtick is breaking the hook you've got unhooked from for 180 seconds. The 6 seconds of Aura Reading is just the cherry on top.

    Wicked's main shtick is a free unhook only if you are hooked in the basement. Since this perk might not get value unless you run down basement before being downed, the Aura Reading for 20 seconds becomes its main shtick after your valuable first hook.

    With Wicked basically making Breakdown redundant, I still think Breakdown should be made an anti tunnel/camp perk.

    Breakdown

    Each time you are unhooked or unhook yourself, this perk activates and the aura of the Hook you were saved from is revealed in yellow for you and unhooking survivor for 80 seconds.

    • When the Killer hooks either survivor on this hook, the hook is broken and the survivor instead drops back onto the ground into the dying state and gains 30/45/60% wiggle progression (to a maximum of 99%).
    • A hook broken by breakout does not respawn for 60 seconds.


    I don't think it even needs the long time limit for creating big hook dead zones, the wiggle progress gives plenty of safety to recover and reset.
