Skill Check Perks

What do y'all think about skill check related perks? Huntress Lullaby, Merciless Storm, Overcharge, Unnerving Presence, ect ect

They overly punish bad or new players while being nearly useless against good players. Does this feel like good design?

Essentially wondering if we should move away from perks punishing those types of players even more than they already are while simultaneously making them better against actually good players. Seems like healthier design.

Thinking reworking these perks to not revolve around skill checks and into something more consistent.

They arent very well designed how ever skill checks are one of the first things new players get a good grip on. Things like Huntress' Lullaby still catches me off guard at times, Coulrophobia is also pretty difficult to deal with, and Merciless Storm on a killer like Doctor definitely isnt the easiest.

I think the concept of skill check perks are fine as is, but of course some of them do need adjustments to become viable at all skill levels

The real question is how you make them viable at all levels without hurting those newer players even more.

I wish unnerving presence got backwards skillchecks added to it just to spice up gens because even I fall for them when I’m not exactly paying attention

Old Ruin was the best of them, for sure. If it counts as a skill check perk.

It makes no sense why huntress lullaby is token based, it’s a hex perk it’s supposed to be powerful.

While beside Hyperfocus they are not that great, they are still interesting.

Obviously the best Skillcheck perk for killer is Merciless Storm on Doctor but there are a few builds like for Freddy that can be okay. Normally they dont work very well against good or even decent survivors but it is still something different, and i like doing different stuff here and there.
