I heard there was a security breach with EAC? Does that mean playing DBD made my PC compromised?

It's more likely the same RCE exploits that were used against CS:GO players 2 years ago and that weren't patched in Apex's modified Source Engine. I 'm pretty sure DBD is safe.

I haven't seen mention of it being the same exploit as the one from 2 years ago and it could be possible it's a new one either way I wouldn't want to risk it since we do have malicious players that would try the exploit to ruin the game for other players

No, but be careful, there have been cases where the ip address has been leaked through dbd.
For example, someone hacked PTB Portrait of murder, which is why the ip of people playing regular matches, leaked
