Honest thoughts on the Unknown
After a decent sample size of games VS The Unknown, I think their kit's a little overloaded?
I don't know if I'm missing something with him, but the rate it takes to tick down the debuff seems obnoxiously slow (slower than his power CD), he can wall bang with his ranged power with a trivial speed penalty holding it, and it seems to have a really bad lingering hitbox. He has a global TP that grands killer instinct when survivors are stood around effigies, allowing for an almost guaranteed health state if people cleanse (which you HAVE to do to deny map pressure), again with a trivial speed penalty that can be further reduced by addons, has an addon that applies his debuff on completing a generator (punishing the survivor for doing their job?), and can force a reliable 50/50 on pallets with power.
Perks for both sides seem reasonable, Wicked on the strong side for sure, Weaving Spiders undeniably sucks. Unbound is pretty fun to use. Undone is niche but probably squeezes into some Skill Check builds somewhere.
Don't mean for this to be a crying post obvs just expressing my personal experience, but I dunno, The Unknown seems really antifun to play against and just overloaded in general, so curious to hear other people's opinions and experiences, as as I said before I could just be missing a trick here.

But that's only natural, isn't it? I mean, if the cooldown took longer than getting rid of the status effect, there wouldn't be much point in it. So far it seems manageable. I played 2 games against Unknown and while it wasn't particularly fun for me, it didn't seem to be all that impressive. I was more annoyed, that I kept getting hit through walls. That's a bit unpleasant.
The projectile bouncing off obstacles is my favorite part about the killer. It's something that no other killer (besides Trickster with an addon) has and it is honestly pretty fun having to think about whether or not the killer might prepare to shoot a UVX that will bounce.
The teleport is probably my least favorite part about it. It leads to free hits when one of these illusions is in the loop you're playing around and I have seen people stand still to wait for it. It's basically Dredge's remnant on crack with none of the downsides.
We'll see how Unknown performs in the following weeks but I have a feeling it will drop a bit. It's a new killer and people take time figuring out how to deal with it.

Good points
Yeah the teleport seems the most unfair to me in my honest opinion. Like you say, it's a free hit with the Killer Instinct. I feel like there needs to be a drawback similar to Demo TP or the sorts

I am absolutely AWFUL as him, as I cannot hit UVX for the life of me lmao, meanwhile everybody that I face as him can dominate

He's very strong but most importantly fun to go against. The uvx created a lot of interesting gameplay just off bouncing and hitting through walls. They way u approach looping him is completely different than most. I think this is one of behavior best killers personally.

And that let 0 counterplay againts , broken killer.

The killer instinct only activates if a survivor cancels destroying a hallucination.

There is only one part about that has close to 0 counterplay and that's the teleport in a loop. Everything else can be dealt with in one way or another. Overall, I wouldn't call Unknown overpowered.

Seems weak to me. Easy to dodge, easy to remove the debuff. Predictable teleports. Super loopable on circular objects like rocks, good on block shaped loops like gyms. I’ve watched the videos of people claiming he’s good and it’s usually just survivors playing bad making him look good. I think he needs some good buffs. His design also leads him to be one of those killers like singularity where he’s rarely going to be seen post this recent launch.

On circular loops look up for walls to bounce projectile of, or even use the pallet as said wall. Also, recommend using milk carton before judging his strength

I actually enjoy playing against the spooky noodle man. I don't think any of his individual abilities are overpowered per say, but all of them put together can feel overwhelming. You have to be able to look behind you to stare at him to get rid of the helmet and loop at the same time while also predicting where his grenades will hit while also making sure you don't run into a teleport body. It can feel like alot, especially for people who can't use the camera well. That being said, once you have a decent grip on check points and how to position your camera and move somewhat unpredictably, I really enjoy facing him. I don't find him OP at all, personally. But I do agree in order to counter him you have alot of things you need to be thinking about at once.

All I would buff about him is increasing the time to remove Weakened from a minimum of 10 seconds to 12 seconds, so that the window of UVX shots is a little less tight. And maybe have UVX injures add 8 seconds instead of 6. Otherwise, overall, I think he's alright and doesn't need a whole lot of work. But he won't be as neglected as Singularity, because he's not nearly as complicated and his counterplay isn't as frustrating to deal with.
