Anyone else experiencing more tunneling from killers?

I've had multiple games back to back where killer will do nothing but face camp and tunnel. The luck meter doesn't matter if I'm just going to be chased as soon as I hop off hook. I've also come across a lot of survivors that will team with the killer, body blocking, leading directly to fellow survivors, essentially helping them tunnel someone out the game.

Even if look at just that game and it was a bad experience, every should consider that no one in any field can achieve anything without having at least one bad experience. It happened a few dozen times at most, out of hundreds or thousands of games. we won't be upset about it and will just enjoy the next match.

On the other hand, there have been many matches where we were able to fight back even when we were tunneled by a killer, and such matches are an experience that can only be gained by playing seriously with each other.

I do that on certain Killers as well (so as to not mess up MMR on individual Killers). It does show there is an issue though when playing like that is so often more fun than playing as intended.

I get the tunneling if gens are popping fast. It's just more so the tunneling from start of game, with unhelpful survivors. I could run the killer for awhile and get hooked. Just then another survivor only then hops on a gen.

It's never only a few games where it's like that. It's nearly every game. I feel it's only gotten worse with these past couple updates, it wasn't ever this bad.

I’ve been running fun friendly killer games I can tell you why there is more tunneling. Some appreciate the game but most harass you in post. So most stop being friendly and become ruthless. Also to pip at high level you must 4K and it makes it easy for them.

Well, I don't understand the problem.

Most of the time I don't tunnel, even if it means losing a game. Most of the time MMR works well for me.

As a survivor, I actually get good killers that match my (I guess high MMR).

As a killer, it's different. Killers I'm really strong with, I get good survivors (with a few exceptions) and vice versa.

My games are fun and I try to split the hooks. But if I always have to do 3 kills or more, don't be surprised if I have to tunnel etc because the MMR keeps going up. You get people who may not be suited for the kill, or worse, hackers who just cleverly hide it and only improve by a few percent.

I've learnt to play relaxed and both sides score well and have fun. Of course I always have to dominate, but you have to give everything to achieve your goal.

For me, winning as a Killer isn't about getting 3 or more kills, it's about doing well in the round. I've also had rounds where I've let everyone go because I've done enough, like hanging everyone twice and getting maximum points, except for the victims.

Just play your games for fun and fairness, then it will level out without you having to sweat all the time.

Tunneling and the rest of these so called "game mechanics" are been used very often currently. It is extrem if you ask me.

And the reasons the killers come up to are always the same and always no real reasons but excuses.

GENRUSH: let me tell you that is in 99% of cases I also would say 100% of cases not a real genrush made by the mean survivors but the killer who failed to put the right amount of pressure on surviors. Like killers who run 4 minutes after one and the same survivor. Or do 3 genning and yes that still is a thing.

Then there is this where killers say that they lost several matches in a row and that now allows them to let out all the dirty "game mechanics"

You know it is easy to play that way you also may get a 4k but yet you prove that the problem are not really the survivors but the killers who find excuses, or just copy them, only for their own selfish needs.

Not to forget the most senseless excuse in my opinion, that in high ranks you need to play like that, cause you will not win at all. Sry but the MAJORITY of survivors are not high rank pro gamers, they are just casual and yet the killers go insane on them. It also shows that that is an excuse because you can not go in a match with that mind set all the time, when you only relate it to high rank survivors. You go in matches with that mindset because you WANT to play dirty.

And no "reason" ever is really a reason when you think about it. It always is make it look like a reason to feel better when play like that.

I even had someone who said, that real killers would be like that too. There is a extreme lack of reflection on their own behaviour only cause they do only want to annoy others and make them suffer in a game for their own personal excitement, at least thats how it seems to me most of the times.
