Servers issues, freezing and memory leak
So ever since the event has released the games performance has dropped significantly. It’s safe to say it’s currently unstable and whether or not you’ll get lag or booted out of a match after the game freezes is almost random but pretty consistent. I’ve seen others complain of these issues but I don’t think I’ve actually seen bhvr address it at all, they even released a patch just today which did nothing.
It’s got to the point that my dc penalties are now up to 6 hours where I’ll randomly not be able to even play the game since it’s random whether the match will work or not. Are they actually going to address this or at the very least which would be the best solution temporarily remove the dc penalties again until it’s fixed. I don’t really fancy the idea of playing tomorrow to get hit with a 12 or 24 hour penalty.

That sounds like an issue on your end, i've had a little bit higher latency but that's about it. If you get dc'd because servers time out you don't get a penalty as far as i know. I've also played for multiple hours a day for a few days in a row during the event.

It’s not I thought this at first as well thinking it was my internet but it’s has been like this consistently since the event started. It’s not just affecting me either sometimes entire games for everyone just break. I can’t even say it’s the servers tbh the game will just freeze and it’ll forcefully disconnect you from the match and you’ll get a penalty. This has apparently been happening to streamers and others as well.

Haven't DC, but I have noticed I'm getting some delay on skill checks which is really starting to annoy me.

There is currently some memory leak and for whatever reason the event stuff seems to be affecting overall performance . Seems to vary from platform though so it’s hard to gauge what’s causing any of the issues.

A bandaid way to mitigate the leaks is to restart the game every 3-4 matches I've found.

I’ve had the game crash my display driver multiple times since the event started, but only when I’m playing Myers. I can play survivor and other killers (so far mostly Unknown) without issue.

I haven’t tried this actually. The issue itself is seemingly random on which games are going to break though so I'm not sure it would work

Necroing this to state I'm still having this issue, been having it a ton since they switched to Unreal 5. This is also the only (bandaid) fix for me and its really frustrating that there isn't any acknowledgement whatsoever.
