Auto-aim is at an all time low
Is auto-aim recently been worse than ever for you guys too? All the streamers I’ve been watching have been complaining about it now more than ever (after blood moon event launch), and though I’ve been avoiding playing the game at all because I dislike the event when I do play killer, auto-aim is worse than ever I’m saying it auto locking onto the car instead of the survivor I’m swinging at around a car loop at badham/lampkin and pls don’t misunderstand this to be only a car loop issue , auto-aim is pain in every situation and every platform (the streamers I watch are all PC players and I’m on PS and we all experience very bad auto aim)
Not to mention the audio has been so weird lately but I don’t wanna start ranting about audio inconsistency because I can write a book about that as a spirit player, however before the event I was pretty happy with how the audio worked but with the event launched everything sounds delayed and the direction isn’t clear (the spirit main I watch also has been experiencing this)

🤓 Um actually, it's called aim dressing, not auto aim.
In seriousness though it feels the exact same to me. No better or worse then normal.

I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, NGL sometimes I think streamers blame every miss on aim dressing just like everything someone does is a "tech" of some kind.

ABSOLUTELY YES. I saw so many strangest swings on streams recently. And in my games it's also strange. Had a game on Hag (still regret about this decision) yesterday and after tp dude was literally before me. Autoaim said "You will hit the wall instead bro".

I've noticed it a bit, not a whole lot but more than usual. been hitting the corners of walls mostly when swinging at survivors that would be an obvious hit.

Same when I play spirit and I land on someone TOO accurately it punishes me for being so accurate im basically almost inside of them when I swing out of phase it locks me into a random wall or object near by like ughhhhhhh stop

ok I don't play killer much and I'm new but what is this auto aim? Doesn't sound legit. Just saying

Aim assist should be removed as the negative effects of aim dressing are too strong. Even if it's a CS plat form. a killer player who can do it properly will do it properly.

This a quote from 2019 but still applies.
Basically, the game detects you got a hit but the system that makes the animation line up and look pretty messes up and forces you into an object instead; which will deny the hit.

Thank you!

Aim dressing also will forbid killers from lunging if it thinks someone is "within range". So if a killer is intending to lunge around an object (because lunges don't have object collision), and the game forces a short M1 attack instead, it can cause the killer to hit whatever object they were trying to lunge around.
In fact, I'd argue the forced short M1 attack mechanic is what steals the most hits, because most of the players in this game aren't even aware this exists, so they don't even try at all to avoid it.

I legit had to stopplaying Spirit because it was genuinely upsetting.
You can make the argument that you shouldn't insta lunge out of power, but sometimes you need to be lightning fast in order to steal hits.

yes something is seriously wrong with it

The most awful part is that dev quote is from 2019, and it can still steal hits from the killer, and BHVR refuses to comment on it again. Do they want this in the game? Was it too difficult to fix? The world may never know????????????????????

Legend says that they're still looking into the issues 5 years later.
