It could be a bug, though do note that the Sable has Off The Record!
This perk has various effects, one of them being that it protects the survivor from any aura reading abilities for 80 seconds after being unhooked. Even when the Endurance effect has been used up or cancelled prematurily (due to a conspicuous action), the aura read blocking should still work for the entire duration. Was this Sable unhooked within 80 seconds of the moment you recorded here?
Distortion specifically states in its perk description that it does not work while in the Dying State, but Off The Record does not have this condition. It's likely that the Sable was still under its effect.
