(VICTOR IS PICKING UP DWIGHT) Jk I believe Devs are shifting the twins from a snowball slugging killer to a secure downs killer. Using the image provided from the official dbd twitter i believe victor can.

1) When Victor latches on to a healthy survivor if victor is not removed within 10-20 seconds Victor downs the survivor.

2) When Victor downs an injured survivor he latches onto them on the ground preventing the survivor from Crawling, recovering and bleeding out another survivor must remove victor from the down survivor to start picking up

My honest guess is once Victor downs someone they stay attached to the survivor so that way if you're across map another survivor cannot heal the downed survivor until they forcefully remove Victor.

I actually enjoy Twins gameplay so if this makes them relevant I'm all for it - It wouldn't solve all issues but at least it wouldn't fully punish Twins for downing someone across map.

Maybe on down it will auto switch back to Charlotte giving her a speed boost if Victor downs far enough similar to how Trapper gets haste when setting traps.

I still feel slugging should be an option but I hope that any changes makes it so that isn't the only option or forces you into one situation you have to commit to.

I dont think that another Survivor is really needed, because this would be the same situation as of now.

I would guess that your idea is pretty on point - Victor will down a Survivor and be on that Survivor. This means, it is impossible to slug multiple people with Victor. And while he pins down a Survivor, the Survivor will not be able to recover or crawl, which allows Charlotte to move over.

So they make it that Charlotte can actually reach the Survivor to hook them and meanwhile they prevent that VIctor can snowball.

At least this is my interpretation, which is almost the same as yours, just I dont think that another Survivor can help there, because then it would be even easier for Survivors to run in pairs to counter them. (Which is already the thing, just that you need to crush Victor in order to avoid snowballing)

If so, it addresses 2 big things I've seen Twins players complain about (balance-wise, not bugs):

    1. Survivors taking Victor hostage and refusing to remove him to delay how long before Charolette can use him again.
    2. Dowed survivors getting rescued before Charolette can go and pick them up.

What about complaints from people who play against Twins? Well, 1 is being addressed:

    1. Victor just runs from injured survivor to injured survivor, quickly snowballing.

Here are some things I don't like about Twins I hope they address:

    • Charolette can park between 3 clustered gens and use Victor to patrol, harass, chase, and down, all while being able to switch back to Charolette to pressure 3 gens. (Thankfully, the gen-regression limit helps against this.)
    • After a down, Charolette can park Victor at the hook she intends to use BEFORE hooking, to be able to bypass the placement restriction AFTER hooking and face-camp from a distance.
    • She can easily guard both exit gates. Crouching up to Victor to crush him just means the survivor either gets 5 seconds to progress the gate before being chased off, or to sneak away and then have to do it all over again when Charolette replaces Victor.

Agreed. Playing Twins is so tedious. They need to actually make the kit and gameplay flow.

As long as I don't have to suffer an 8 second fatigue then im half happy.

Twins getting nerfed is almost nothing but certainty now.

As a Twins player, I am hoping that this will be a choice that you can make to have Victor latch onto downed survivors, and not forced. If two survivors are about to pop a gen and one of them gets downed and pinned, you still can't stop the gen because you would be forced to switch back to Charlotte. Granted the survivor can kick Victor after the down but that is time they aren't spending on the gen.

I also don't want Victor to down people after them not being removed for too long. This would lead to scenarios where you follow someone as Charlotte until they either remove Victor and you get a free hit because they stop moving, or Victor downs them for free just because the chase was too long.

it's sad if they take this route. i mean it will work to stop the slugging playstyle (which is the most optimal way to play twins), but at that point twins becomes another braindead antiloop killer. this would be assassination followed by a nerf because the victor antiloop is too strong pretty much like they did with freddy.

im a massive twins main because there's quite literally no killer like them in the game. closest comes the knight but he doesn't actually play the second killer and has to reset power between each down. i dont enjoy the current state of twins but i prefer it compared to the simple 'find, down, and hook' gameplay that is too common these days. of course nobody is gonna care about the thoughts of the twins mains just like old freddy mains because they've the lowest pickrate even if the killer design is very unique.

i like the idea if Victor is on someone Charlotte gains haste that way it turns away from people holding victor hostage and can get to Victor quicker

After the Hillbilly rework, i'm confident this will be good, too.

There's no way they'd put Victor out of commission for a period of time without some sort of compensation. I'd say while Victor is attached, the downed person can't crawl or recover

We are a rare breed haha, the crazy long shots that Victor can pull off and the feeling of being in multiple places at once is just a massive appeal to me.

I think its fine to finally have a killer where being in pairs helps against the killer. Just like how legion its best to not be together. So this is opposite. We just never as a community really point this strategy out because twins are the rarest killer to see anyways

Having 2 playable characters is the power though. The problem is that you don't have time to hook. Victor is not THAT strong that it justifies such a long time to switch.
