Pig is weaker than Freddy. Change my mind.

The only thing Pig has on Freddy is that survivors can’t outright exploit her weaknesses in her face, and if you get trapped in the endgame good luck to you.

I’m sorry, I WANT to love Miss Piggy (and for the record, YES, Freddy needs some nice qol buffs because he too has some glaring and unnecessary weaknesses) but maybe I just don’t understand her yet but she’s really weak and situational. Her power is the only finite power in the game, her ability has no strength because she moves slower AND survivors can see her a mile away AND you can hardly see - it would be one thing if she moved really fast or she could see nearby survivor auras, but she doesn’t.

For Freddy’s unfair weaknesses, I still manage to 2-4K with him and get a buttload of bp, as well as find different perks and play styles with him. He has complete invisibility in the waking world and a nice aura reading ability in the dream world that makes DD, IMO, a good power (it would be perfect if the devs made survivors only able to run and vault in the transition.)

America, explain!!

Pig is a killer made to hold the game back and slug if the right add-ons and perks are in play, if you design a end-game build with her, good luck getting out, even though she has a finite power, you can still have more RBT with add-ons, If you play or the survivors play Murky Reagent, Pig shines best there, with her crouch making her look more like a crouching survivor, she is situational, but if the situation plays, like most of the matches, the game can be held down at end-game and pretty much in the wise words of DAgames, "ESCAPE DENIED!"

After playing Freddy a fair bit recently I can see your point. The 7 seconds is an extreme weakness for him, but being able to catch survivors by surprise so no stealth, and beinf able to put others to sleep mid chase to slow them down is realy good.

Pig...I have to agree. Definitelt feels like a really weak killer. The traps do very litle, and her stealth is dman near useless since she's still easily visible unlike wraith or freddy and swf often give their friends the heads up that you're coming.

If I had to go against a tryhard swf with either pig or freddy I'd pick freddy.

The only problem with pig is the RNG, it's very annoying when the survivor remove the trap in the first box and when more than one have enough luck for that it's a lost game unless they are very bad. Anyway I don't consider her worse than Freddy, Freddy can be better than her only with good addons.

Anyway the pig can be played in several ways, playing stealthy doesn't mean you have to be crouched all the time, you waste a lot of time, is better to crouch when you are near a generator and then stand up and try a grab or a hit, I almost never use ambush in the gens as some people do, for playing a stealthy build I consider M&A a mandatory perk.

Some people play with addons and perks to make removing traps more difficult, Distressing, Unnerving pressence and the addons that increase the amount of skillcheks and/or increase the time spent for checking the box. I didn't tried this build but I don't line anyway.

Anyway the most effective but "toxic" way to play her is tunneling the survivor with the RBT, patrolling the boxes.

Piggy is not worse than Freddy. I advice you to check out a streamer named PsychoScorpionz. He plays Piggy in a good way.

Dash a lot at pallets. Fake your roars at the pallets when you notice survivors are prepared, stand up a few times, go for a dash or chase after them normally then, specifically fake the roar though. It does help and use your traps during the game and not end game. It will force survivors to search through sawboxes and not do gens. There are a lot of things you can do with the dash, too, like a moondash as an example and etc.

There's a lot you can do. I advice you to run Enduring, Whispers, M&A and whatever fourth perk you want. BS works nicely or BBQ. She does not need add ons, but the Combat Strap is a good add on.

Please keep in mind her traps are not meant for killing, but pressurizing the game!

If you use traps on 2 survivors at the same time (unless it's endgame) you are using her wrong.

If you dont use her ambush to combat loops you are using her wrong.

If you are chasing a survivor that has a beartrap on his head you are using her wrong.

If you do not use her stealth to get the first hit you are using her wrong.

In my opinion she is the best licensed killer. She can combat looping, she can slow the game down, she can get the first hit pretty easily and when it comes to the endgame she still has a chance to get kills.

Pig doesn’t give Survivors literal invincibility, so...

@MineAntoiya it's not that, it's just that I see so much of these threads, for us to convice them otherwise, going around (I don't know if it's by the same guy, but probably not) that I can't take them seriously anymore. Especially when they're comparing Pig and Freddy. Like #########?

Although, Freddy isn't nearly as bad as everyone says, he's definitely worse than Pig.

Pig worse than Freddy? No way... I get 3 or 4 kills almost every game with her. She can slow the game down a lot with her RBT's and the right perks.

I play both and I find it a LOT easier to 4k with Pig. Freddy I have to really be on top of everything, where with Pig I can just kinda do whatever and I'll be fine as long as I don't get sucked into a crazy long chase. RBT is also a more reliable time waster than DW, even though I think DW is ultimately stronger.

I think what you're experiencing is survivors that are just really scared of Freddy because he's invisible. If you get 1 or 2 of those survivors in your Freddy game it can be a cakewalk. But if you get survivors that aren't scared and understand what you can and cannot do, Pig is better because her pressure is more direct. You can outplay those survivors pretty easy with Pig, but it's a LOT harder to do that with Freddy.

I got all the way from Rank 10 to Rank 1 using no add-ons or perks with her. Just like any other killer (minus Freddy, maybe), it depends on how you play her.

how can you say that freddy, a m1 killer that almost all mid-tier survivors opens gate / escape hatch / do gens / unhook and escape in his face is better than pig? meh, everybody with his opinion.

I think it comes down to perks, add one, maps, etc.

Example. You will do a lot better as Freddy on Lery's than anywhere else because there is no grass to tip off Survivors to your location, whereas it's easy to see Piggy coming. Whereas somewhere dark or with a lot of places to hide such as Yamoaka estate will help Piggy better.

Good perks for Pig are Surveillance, Overwhelming Presence, Sloppy Butcher, Discordance, Monitor and Abuse, NOED, Remember Me.

    That's just me though

pig is ment to completely stop the games progression, which she can do.

trap a survivor, down and hook another one and then chase a 3rd. you now have one guy at the boxes, one on the hook, one going for the rescue and one being chased.

that means there is no one doing gens. now, the hooked survivor probaply also has a trap and the oe you chase will be downed soon too. that means that you hook the one you were chasing, the hooked one is now at the boxes, and there is only 2 survivors left. chase one and you have the same scenario as before.

that momentum is extremely strong, sadly its RNG based, so it can be over very fast, if the survivor got the trap off on his first box.

her ambush ability is something you can use to get closer to survivors, as it turns off the terror radius, and then stand back up to chase them and maybe catch them unprepared.

pig is all about that momentum. she CAN be extremely strong, but she can also be weak. it really depends on how she is played and if RNG Jesus is on your side.

This is me being cheeky more than anything, but last I checked, there wasn't a Survivor perk that instantly removed a Reverse Bear Trap when the Exit Gates were powered. 😉

It's all a matter of taste. In my experience. Every single killer is Viable at rank 1, if you put enough love into them. The pig is better then people give her credit for. She has a decent game slower in her kit. The traps aren't meant for kills. But if you throw a tampered timer and an extra box on the map, you can usualy get 1 head pop :)

Things to help as the pig:

1: Learn your TR range. This is so you can walk to gens, and crouch just outside the range and sneak up on survivors. This will save you time. And time is Killer HP.

2: Sometimes it's best to throw someone on a hook without a hat. Ie: If you've hooked a couple people, but gens are popping fast, you want to save a hat for the guy rushing gens down. This will make him stop for a bit.

3: After you've passed out party hats, check your cake. AKA: Trap a couple people, then flush your boxes, not your generators. Especially against SWF. SWF will stop doing gens until their team pulls the traps off. (not always, but it is common)

4: Don't bother trapping someone if the gates are open, unless you have 2 traps. That way you can force 2 people to stay so the hatch wont open.

Yes there is, it's called the hatch.

    (sorry, had to. )
