Ultimate Weapon of Xenomorph
Hey guys I do not know what to say really, but in my opinion the killer Trickster and the Huntress should not be able to take with the ultimate weapon perk of Xenomorph. Since these killers need to look in lockers to refill their knives or axes. That is absolutely annoying. Since this perk alone is absolutely dirty. But when you have a killer who have to look into lockers it is just bad. It is a whole scream fest cause the killers look every minute in a locker.
These two killers should NOT been able to use that perk sry.

Ultimate Weapon is being changed so survivors won't scream, instead it'll reveal your aura. The cooldown has also been increased, so in a weird way, this is pretty much exactly what you're asking for.

I can finally take off calm spirit soon and use bite the bullet again hurray. Honestly though I have to say when you get a doc though and you have calm spirit it really will make looping him stupidly easy LOL. Had one chased me for 3 gens pop +2 half completed to finally drop the chase.

Sounds like a good change, yet still the both will profit from that way to much. Imagine it will be like they can see every survivor all the time more or less, since they only have to look in lockers what they have to. Other killers just look in the lockers by occasion, while these two need to look into them.
So sure it will be a better change, yet for these killers it should be blocked.
Overall this perk need to be changed to just a few seconds after he looked in the locker and that he only can see people near the locker. Not that his radius will reveal them all no matter where he goes. I really hope it will be good, but I see that this will be highly misused

What has that anything to do with my complaint? I just said that this perk for a killer who NEED to look in lockers should not have the possibility to take ultimate weapon with. The doctor on the other hand is not much more in a big advantage with merciless storm than without. Since it will only show where it is failed. He can not trigger it because he work like that, like Huntress or Trickster does. And merciless storm itself is not that big of a deal to be honest, since it let you not cry or stuff really. It is just not to compare.
There is a big difference to killers which ability need to be refilled by looking in lockers so just take that perk with what EVERY time triggers when he refill. Because killers without that tend do have longer periods between the looks into any lockers, when they just hunt or anything, they do not need to refill, so they need to stop hunt, so the survivor maybe has the chance to hide, because as soon as they are refilled they will find the survivor anyway. It is a whole different story and should be prevented for these killers who need to look in lockers more often.

Im meaning, should all killer perk synergies be stopped? Besides, those killers work ok with with it, while killer's like oni, nurse, and blight from it benefit from it much more. They can zoom around and get all this info so much easier than a huntress or trickster

Yeah, is there something intrinsically wrong with smartly choosing a perk that makes it so instead of just disrupting those killers' pressure, reloading also lets you find survivors easier? Should Nemesis not benefit from perks like Thwack and Game Afoot with his tentacle break, should Unknown not get to use Nowhere to Hide with his hallucination teleport?

Still a difference on the thing with the Unknown. Since he is not in NEED to kick the gens. Is it really that hard to understand? The Huntress and Trickster NEED to look into lockers.

Don't condescend me. WHAT is the actual issue with them using locker-based perks? What makes that unhealthy? Yes, they NEED to reload at lockers. Yes, the perk activates at lockers when they reload. WHY is that an issue?

Dude, read the patch notes,
Duration of ultimate weapon will be cut by half, from 30 seconds to 15 and the cool down goes from 30 to 60 seconds at best.
Meaning, 75% of the time looking into locker will do nothing but be a reload for both killers.
The difference in efficiency of the perk for those two killers and the rest will be negligible and comparable to other killer/perk synergies.

Because other than killers who do not need to do that the chance is higher these killers tend not to use it in a extrem overdose. Like when they hunt, they most likely would not just look in the locker because they hunt which makes the whole game more fair. When Trickster or Huntress do hunt they use their knives or axes and when they are empty and they decide to get some refill the survivor, which had then the time to maybe escape or hide while the killer stop hunting, will not be safe because of ultimate weapon. It makes and already overpowered killer much more overpowered. And YES they are overpowered, especially after the update.
It is just not good, cause other killers need to think to look in lockers on purpose to do that and tend more to not do it so often, like these two does. Since they need to look in the lockers it is just to extrem. Do you understand me here? It is the NEED against the THINK. While other killers have to think about it and when to do it, the other both just do it, because they need to. Which made the whole perk here just to heavily extrem. Since in that way they do not have to care to use it wisely because they just spam it on every refill, while the ultimate weapon can be triggered.
Yea all fine. The change sound at least much better to be honest. We will see how it works out. I am curious about that. My complaint also is more about the ultimate weapon before it was changed now.

Yes, they do need to reload, thus meaning they will be looking in lockers more. I know that. I am fully aware of HOW this combo works on those killers. You have not explained to me WHY it is bad design that these killers have synergy with a perk. Everyone knows they need to reload, WHY is it bad design that they can choose to use one of their four perk slots to give them benefits when they reload?
What about Darkness Revealed? Is that a problem, or just Ultimate Weapon? I frankly suspect you don't know what you even really take issue with, and just don't like Ultimate Weapon as a perk—that's fine! Just short of everyone hates Ultimate Weapon's current design! Do not conflate that with powers synergizing with perks being a bad thing.

Theres already a perk called Darkness Revealed which only reveals survivors auras around lockers whenever the killer searches one.
Besides, any killer doesnt have to go too out of their way to get value out of Ultimate Weapon. On Huntress Id argue there are better options considering she only has a 20m TR.

Some killer perks syngerize well with certain powers. This isn't a problem that needs to be solved.

This sums it up pretty succinctly. Sometimes perks compliment killers well, and most of the time I think that's a good thing. Insidious has been in the game since literally launch and just now justified its existence by being a great combo by faking being one of Unknown's hallucinations. Regardless of whether or not a killer needs to perform an action to activate a perk, synergies tend to be healthier for the game.
