Teabagging

I'm honestly sick and tired, both as a survivor and killer, of Survivors teabagging and repeatedly flashing their flashlights.

I get it. You're a skilled survivor. I get it, you want the killer to chase you because you think so highly of yourself. But this constant teabagging in the exit area or anywhere on the map and the repeated flashlight clicking is only promoting a toxic behavior that is still going unchecked. They need to put the flashlight click on a long cooldown and they need to put the crouching on a cooldown until players can start learning to play in a civil manner. It's time the game developers start taking charge and start teaching their player base to stop being so toxic.

BHVR endorses teabagging, they won't do anything to stop it.

With the animation updates in 2021 Dev Guillaume said they wanted to "make sure that teabagging still feels satisfying to our players "

How exactly should BHVR go about removing teabagging? Put crouching on a cooldown so the tea bags are extremely slow?

In that case, it can be identified because it is not facing the direction of the killer. There is no need to hide obvious malice as it is different from bagging while looking directly behind you or bagging facing forward.

I am joking somewhat with my answers, but if BHVR has ideas on how to limit the toxicity in game, then I'm all for it.

Pig got a buff to her teabags recently. Ghostie is still the master, but it's there 😅

Seriously the best thing is to not get upset by it. I see teabags as a no mercy button. Normally I play kinda chill, but if someone teabags me I don't get mad and hard-core tunnel, I just log that survivor in my mind.

If the opportunity presents itself that I can kill that player, I take it without any hesitation, and no concern given for any notions of being mean or unfair. They revoked their fair play card.

Recently started playing path of titans and they have a debuff feature which seriously hinders the speed and attack of players that camp the home cave

    (safe zone)

So survivors that spend too long in the exit area could indeed get hindered heavily movement wise. Could do the same for killers that camp hooks.

I’ve been around since December 2017, and for years this behaviour has gotten to me. Things have changed for me in the last few months and I take the game less seriously and it doesn’t get me as angry. Teabagging and bragging about wins/being a sore winner is so common that it doesn’t phase me anymore.

I accept it as a part of the game, so I know that if I want to play and enjoy it, I need to accept the bad things that come along with it. BHVR can’t do much about survivors or killers finding ways to brag, it’s just the nature of PvP games as a whole, and I think a game like this amplifies those bad qualities in people.

Just let it roll off your back and move on to the next game. Don’t let it get to you because it means absolutely nothing. Just remember that if they do it to you, they do it to everyone else. It’s nothing personal. They just need to stroke their own egos.

when its tbagging at the gate i wont see that cause the survs can sit there the whole freaking timer i wont come to the gate.

when its survs that constantly tbagg and click and want me to chase them thats the last thing i will do. if they want a chase they are probably good at it, these guys will probably go the whole game without one single chase with me.

i even had some of these guys comming to caht after the game and curse me out for not chasing them as if i was some bhvr employe and im in that game for there fun and satisfaction

It’s not that serious. If they t-bag, they give the nodders or no’s. Relax and have some banter, the game will be more fun.

as absurd as it may sound, some of them would probably say that yes flashlights should be on constant cooldown. 🤡

People often forget that in order for that “t bag” to work you have to on your end receive it the way they want. I’ve been “humped” on the floor for no reason before and I just think it looks stupid (except Chucky cuz it looks hilarious 😂) The point is you control how you want to receive it.

Play some Overwatch where people not only can teabag but use emotes and sprays. You'll get thicker skin to teabagging in no time.

eveeverything toxic in this game lol. Someone said i was toxic for spinning at the pallet after stunning them.

chucky adorable hahaha. i can barely take him serious even when he running behind me trying to tunnel. Do what you got to do little man hehehe

For basically anything you do in the game someone will call it toxic. I've been called toxic for getting a pallet stun and playing as Wraith, among other things. When it's something as ridiculous as those things I have to just roll my eyes

It irritates me but honestly it has been in the game and there will likely always be immature kids in the game. Better to try to not take in on board too much or it will eat you up and make you bitter… I get it though, it is irritating.

Surely someone pressing a BUTTON doesn't offend you, right? RIGHT??

It's the same argument for killers repetitively moving back and forward behind my body after knocking me and hitting me on the hook and personally targeting me all game for simply being apart of their lobby, it's apart of the game.

Crying about everything is not the answer here because it can't be nerfed without making the game worse.

Flashlight clicking was already nerfed because of the overly sensitive players and that inadvertently affected being able to blind the killer because of the dumb delay added, stop ruining the game.

REGARDLESS of what is done there will always be toxic players, especially now more than ever. It's really not that serious.

These issues are nothing compared to the toxicity witnessed in Modern Warfare 2/COD4 lobbies. Grow some thick skin, it's always usually an immature child being toxic anyway.

Oh I find a lot of the times those are the ones I tunnel. I'd say at least (probably more than) 50% of the time, they aren't as good in a chase as they think they are, they want me to chase them? I oblige. I chase them and only them and I hook them. 3 times. Do they get angry and accuse me of tunneling? Absolutely, but they literally asked for it.

Even have one game where, I don't remember the full details of how the match went, but this guy was trying to get me to chase him the entire match, and I did. He was good, very good… but on the side I managed to hook the other survivors, then go back to chasing him, as he wanted. The other survivors were playing like potatoes and when it was down to just him and a Bill, the Bill was on the hook so I was chasing him, the Bill died and I finally managed to catch him. He got so angry at me, told me how I was trash and I had tunneled him the entire match.

oh i get so much satisfaction from ignoring these guys its wonderfull.

you can really see how they get more and more angry they come closer to you while you chase they stand around and after a while they even give you the first hit just so you chase them but i still ognore them. its free slowdown i chase one surv and they stick around so its two that dont work. and when they get really prissy after a while they even come to you when wounded and risk and easy down just so you maybe chase them

Honestly i think there's no point of trying to stop teabagging. Players who want to BM will BM however they can.

All i can say is if they do it early to mid game, they are most likely leading you into an unfavourable chase, so it's wise to think about why they would do it at that point and decide the best course of action to win.

And when they teabag at the end, well, that's just a reason to try and stop survivors from escaping next time.

I truly do wish people were more kind and respectful in all aspects of life but it's just not reality. Best to focus on how you respond to it. I think the people that say things like "it's not that serious" are not helping.

It’s not the bagging that bothers me tbh it’s the spending 2 whole minutes at the gate just being toxic. That’s omega cringe. Do I really have to force them out like a bunch of children? They could easily make it to where exit gates are blocked for any survivor who spends longer than 20 seconds at a gate or something.

I mean, no there is reasons to stay in the match, to make sure everyone gets out, if you need to leave to go make a last minute save, etc… I get it's frustrating, but no more frustrating than being bled out IMO. And I say that as someone who plays both sides. Now, I don't teabag at the gate, but I will sometimes hang out in the exit gates until I am sure that either everyone is safe or or there is no saving someone.

No I'm not personally offended but that doesn't mean I'm going to defend people being rude and nasty just to be toxic for no real reason.

That doesn't mean I'm going to excuse their behavior just because there will always be toxic people in some amount. That's true of any bad behavior.

That doesn't mean it's acceptable just because "its debatably worse somewhere else", which doesn't make this situation any better. There will always be "something worse".

That doesn't mean we can't advocate for it to get better.

Surely you're not taking the side of cringe immature players flipping others off being sore winners and donkeys right?

Why are you trying so hard to minimize what's happening and excuse it? They're being toxic, and that shouldn't be encouraged nor defended. Correct me if I'm wrong but the only reason I see to defend it is because you're part of the problem and do these things yourself.

Just because I'm not personally offended doesn't mean I think it should be a free pass to excuse what's happening.

The issue I'm concerned about here is not them being toxic, it's the overall movement of the game, nerfing crouch spamming will make the game feel sluggish, it also heavily affects dodging hatchets and whips etc. This is bad for the game however you look at it. Even if they did do something about this it would still not stop people being toxic, that's the main point here.

I've been playing games since 2005, toxicity has gotten worse and worse since then and regardless of what has been done to circumnavigate away from that it still persists, nerfing this would still keep toxicity in the game, except it would reduce the overall health of the game too. Bad change imo.

it is an online video game. Every single multiplayer game has toxic players: cod, valorant, league, minecraft, people will BM if they want to. That is just the reality, and if you play any online game you’re signing up for it. That’s just how it is.

Who really cares? It's a horror game where you're trying to murder your opponent, there are bad manners on both sides but nothing worth looking at, I guess to some people it's only okay for killers to have bad manners but at the end of the day I enjoy both sides of it because I see the humor in it I think it should stay, I guess I should start expecting manners from the survivors I'm trying to murder because that makes sense ...

I'm still lobbying for a killer perk which blocks the exit (like Blood Warden), except happens only if a survivor crouches, gestures or uses a flashlight. It's definitely a meme perk idea, but there's bound to be a lot of funny plays out of it.

I'm not playing that much anymore but the only tea-bagger I've seen this year was an absolute noob who didn't appear to understand I was pushing him out.

Since the flashlight clicking has been fixed, I don't get these at all either. This one is more important for me because the clicking was quite annoying.

I'm kind of lucky I guess.

You can stand a few meters away from the gate tbh. There are reason to stay but 99% of the time that’s not why people stay lol

I play plenty of killer and I think teabagging is funny. it really doesn't bother me. However, survivors teabagging on the other side of pallets or windows are far more likely to get slugged and bled out at the end of the match :)
