Pop pain res nerf when 😃
Keeping it short these same two perks have been winning many killers their games it’s seen literally every match in every killer build so when are these perks going to get changed (hopefully gutted 🥰💋)

Both sides deserve strong perks.
Pain Res and pop reward chases with regression.
If they needed to be nerfed, then don't make them stack with each other. Otherwise no further nerf would be fair.
Pop is mostly game healthy in my opinion.
Regression should be linked to game progression. Otherwise we get gen kick standoffs back.

Pain Res ist absolutely fine, because it gives you the goal of hooking every survivor to get value. Good Design.
Pop was 25%, then 20% current and now 30% current. I think 20% total would fit the best.

Probably with the next big meta shake up in a few years. However, this will come with a trade off. Some other regression perks will need to be buffed, so that they can fill in the gaps.
Because Pop and Pain Res aren't too strong, they just create a stale meta. It is more clear than ever, that the game does not work without some pretty strong slowdown. Especially when DS goes back to 5 seconds (which is a good thing), the overall pace of killers will slow down to some degree.

Nope. If you just prolong the game long enough it does not matter if your chases are longer since more ressources are used up.

By that standard Pop and Pain Res shouldn't be the slowdown we nerf though. Because they require the killer to play well. Otherwise they don't get to use them frequently enough.
In my opinion 4 slowdowns are too much indeed but gutting regression perks is a pretty bad idea. If both of them were gutted, that would shift the slowdown meta completely towards gen blocking, which is way worse.
I'd rather work 22.5 seconds longer on a gen that was hit by Pain Res than not being able to progress at all even if the time was shorter (which it isn't). Gen blocking also has the weakness that survivors can wait it out. For regression that doesn't work. So stealth would become even stronger than it is now.
As a logical consequence the game would move away from being mostly chase focused and revolve around how well survivors can avoid being spotted by the killer. This would then render quite a few other killer perks useless and force the devs to buff perks that work without chasing. Then Distortion would become a huge problem and they'd need to deal with that too. It might also be necessary to make maps consist mostly of dead zones. Because if the killer spends most of their time running around without even finding survivors, then chases cannot take longer than a few seconds.
You see where this leads?

Sure nerf them into the ground like all the other slow down perks so you can see endless games of slugging as gens would just fly otherwise.

I'm a survivor main and honestly not bothered by these two. They make it harder to get gens done, sure, but that's their purpose and if the team makes good use of their time then you're good. They don't stall gens, just slow them down.

3/4 gen perks stacked should not be a thing.
Pop should only have 4 stacks max
I would like to see a move towards slowing gen progress rather than outright regression via explosion or blocking gens. Getting your nearly finished gen hit multiple times with Pain Res then Pop is a depressing experience, as is having gens locked so you have to stand around doing nothing. Not as bad as old Eruption for sure but still not the ideal way to control gens
I am all for killers being able to slow gens, just not a fan of how it is being done at present (Eruption/COB kick meta was FAR worse though for sure).

Why not ? Survivors can stack 4 meta perks to compensate for their lack of skill as well so I don't see any reason for why killers shouldn't be able to as well.

I really hope they don't nerf pop, it's the healthiest slowdown perk in my opinion, since you have to hook a survivor to activate it and then move to the generator that you want to kick.
Pain Res could maybe need a slight nerf though. Maybe decrease the percentage from 25 to 20% or so.

They're fine on their own it's only when they are used together or with Grim Embrace that they become problematic.
I don't even know how you would go about fixing that. They are pretty healthy on their own but can become oppressive together, but if you nerf them then they will only be used together because they'll be less impactful alone. It's a tough situation.

And thats what @Xernoton said? Its common knowledge, that DBD Killer without any gen perks against decent survivors is basicly saying: "Its up to you if I win or lose." Exception are some killers, that are problems on their own.
This discussion is only about two perks. Not about killer stacking four perks that basicly do the same thing.
There needs to be regression. Otherwise, some killers are just not viable. This is at least how I see it.

Pain res and Pop are fine, annoying for sure, but they're fine. Killers need slowdown, its not fair that with all the gen progression survivors can stack (remember there are 4 survivors and only one killer), its only fair that the killer has something to counter that play.
A killer running no slowdown is basically at the mercy of the survivors, and if you're new and don't have that many gen slowdowns, then you are SOL if you're against a team of competent survivors.

After mangled nerf killers only have gen regression to buy time and with DS buff there is no reason to nerf killer anymore. Both roles are fun now solo survivor and killer let's keep it this way.

I still maintain that regression/slowdown perks should lose 25% of their value across the board when 3 are equipped, and 50% of their value when 4 are stacked. There needs to be diminishing returns for stacked slowdown at a certain point, especially on higher tier killers.
Also, maybe a bit of a hot take: nothing should make gens explode and make survivors scream while someone is working on it. It's downright annoying. Just have the gen fizzle and regress. People would be 1000% less annoyed with Pain Res if it weren't for the explosion+scream.

You don’t need regression perks to triumph over survivors (good, decent, or otherwise). Tunneling one survivor out ASAP is the strongest tool available to killers. The regression perk may buy more time to do that but I personally think it’s a negligible difference.

It is becoming increasingly clear that stacked regression perks are unhealthy for the game, no matter how well-designed or balanced they might be individually.
I propose a global cooldown, much like how Exhaustion was introduced to prevent survivors from stacking those perks together.
ie. After any major regression event (defined as damaging any generator(s) for a value higher than the basekit 5%), the killer is affected by a new status effect which lasts for 45 seconds, preventing any other major regression events from procing during that time.
Something needs to be done at any rate. Survivor is depressing at the moment.

Exactly, this would be a good solution. 4 Slowdown-Perks together might still be better than 2 Slowdown-Perks, but the value should decrease the more Slowdown is equipped. This would encourage Killers to bring other Perks, because in the end, nobody really NEEDS 4 Slowdown-Perks. If someone says they NEED to equip 4 Slowdowns, they are lying or overestimating their skill.

The big problem is when you tunnel out someone at 5 gens with all these stacked like you said. Even if there are only 2 gens left and three survivors the gen regression from just downing the next survivor will make the game 1000x harder for those 3 people trying to pop the 2 gens especially if the killer is even 10% decent and understands how to zone a 3 gen. The problem isnt 3 gen or slow downs tunneling is to a certain extent because you never get good at anything else. The problem lies when all three of these things are all done in sync by a half decent player it makes the game ridiculously oppressive.

That’s the thing—any killer can tunnel a survivor out at any point in the game & pretty much walk away with at minimum a 2K. Tunneling is potent and widespread because it works regardless of all else.
Regression perks can make tunneling easier by creating extra wiggle room, but they really aren’t necessary to win a game. If I tunnel someone out at 5 gens, I’m going to tunnel the next survivor out with however many gens remain (3-5). And once two are gone we know it’s basically a game of outlast for the remaining survivors. They’re not concerned with gens (nor should they be).

lol I have 4k hours but sure ;) i dont use exhaustion perks I only run head on and qq or CoL but yusualy i just dont use perks if you would ever like to 1v1 let me know ill use no perks you can use whatever you want. Will be a good learning lesson for both of us.

Slowdown is the only stopgap there is to have longer matches without taking 1 person out early on in the game and PR/Pop reward you for spreading hooks and traveling away from hook to apply them

If Pain Res and Pop are such a problem, then the survivor team is going down too fast which would be a problem even without these perks.
