Lucky unhooks
Just out of curiousity, with the 4% chance of unhooking yourself.. anyone out there have some serious luck doing it so often it feels more than 4%?

RNG hates me

Ever since they introduced Deliverance last year, I have unhooked myself exactly 7 times (considering I dont use Deliverance, the achievement makes it easy to track). I generally do not attempt it anyway.

It's actually more than 4%, because you can roll for it 3 times.
And yes, as a killer, this happens waaay to often to be anywhere near 4%.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Luck Offerings and Ace's luck perk increases the chances of unhooking, though insignificantly.
Personally, RNG seems to like me because I havent played this game very very much but in my experience I have gotten off the hook too many times without deliverance to be normal. It's hilarious. When I play killer, if a survivor hits that 4% in front of my face I just nod at them and let them live a while longer. If they just so happen to be the last person in the game when they unhook themselves I will straight up let them escape. I respect that 4% bail out. lmao

Play a little longer and you will stop "respecting the 4%".
Survivor don't respect killer. So no need to respect them being lucky. It's not skill. Just whack 'em down. Unhooking themselves in your face is disrespectful by them, so strike them down.

Had a friend use their dileverance right as the killer was walking away, he was instantly hooked again. I was like you’re a special case pal Bc that was not the move.

I don't care about assuming if a survivor means to be disrespectful, altruistic by pretending to be toxic to bait my attention, or seriously being toxic. I enjoy a game that can make me laugh even if I'm losing. I'm not high rank enough to go against survivors who are just constantly being toxic but I'll probably just only let them live if they're the last person in the match after unhooking when I reach higher ranks and drop the idea of letting them run if they're not.

This is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down.
Anyway, be me, playing as nurse, trying to get the adept nurse trophy (kill all 4 survivors with just the nurses 3 teachables) so i end up slugging one person and hooking the other 3 in the basement. Perfect victory right? As soon as I blink out of the basement to go get the slugged claudette, one of the basement hooks Kobe's themselves right off the hook with their 4% and saves the other two.
Rip me.

What's wrong with YOU?
If I am the killer and I am still around -kickin gens, checking locker, setting traps- and you try the kobe and get a lucky roll right in front of me... what do you expect me to do??
Pad your back, congrats to you and leave?
If you don't want a baseballbat to the face, wait until the killer is gone before trying to kobe.
