Nemesis Crouch Tech
Dear Behavior Interactive,
As a loyal Nemesis player (p15), I very much enjoy this killer and his design. I find him to be very fun and I love the zombies. However, survivors can simply crouch to negate the effects of hitting with the tentacle through pretty much every window/pallet. Please fix this! I love nemesis too much to throw in the towel sad face
Sincerely,
FrogDispenser

The crouch tech actually works on multiple killer powers at the moment, it should be removed.

nemeiss animations are really buggy rn so i think bhvr is doing something

There's a counter. I've found that raising the tentacle as high as you can before swinging almost always beats the crouch tech. I have no idea why, and I'm sure someone who understand the tentacles hitbox could explain, but give it a shot. Since theyre crouching when that get hit, they'll lose some of the speed burst

Unlike Billy, Blight or Demo, you're supposed to be able to crouch to dodge his power.
His hitbox comes from the top down, so if you crouch behind something, it won't hit.

same with billy, blight and demo, this is just how the hitbox works (and it´s bad)
2 -
Thats not how the hitbox works. The hitbox is like a kit-kat if you ever had one of those. So it would be like 4 bars high and a survivor crouching behind a window covers the 2 lower bars. No matter what you do you will NOT be able to hit that person with the tentacle unless they suddenly gained height from an elevation like a hill where it brings their hitbox back into view.

Hand to god, whenever a survivor does a crouch behind a pallet, I just raise Nemy's arm as high as it can go and whip. I almost always get a hit even when they are crouching, though its always at the tail end of the animation

blight's power allowed him to slide and this was also intended due to how the collision hit detection. blight detection is getting fixed. it is only fair to fix killer detection's.

So you want range, anti loop and have it be uncounterable? lol
It should take skill to use like how crouching to dodge doesn't always result in a miss.

dawg it's like 5 meters in front of you at tier 3, huntress exists and can do the same thing more efficiently. I don't see why it's itsuch an issue to patch out an obvious bug lol
1 -
Yeah but huntress' hitboxes work differently because her hitboxes are ridiculously large and that's why they can hit around corners. I don't think it's a bug to be able to dodge a whip which you ducked under, that's just giving killers more ease of use.

So just let it go through walls basically it only actually works were the physics wouldnt hit you under a window or on the larger side of a pallet or a fence ect taking that out would just let it go though any obstacle.

Thats because if theres a survivor and is able to be hit the tentacle will ALWAYS prioritize the survivor. Thats why when some nemis tentacle they look to the side to break the pallet instead so they dont give you a sprint burst.

Blight's power allowing him to slide was in fact, not intended for a long time. It was labelled as a bug for years.

it´s a whip, i think bhvr could make a different thing, something like ´´if the top hitbox pass through something, the bottom ones can also do it´´

That is not how the hitbox works though. So that's a placebo effect.
Otzdarav explains the hitbox pretty well in his Nemesis streak:
It's about 5 minutes into the video.

both of tech are related killer hitbox detection. they fixed killer detection which allowed killer to get an advantage.
where is survivor hitbox detection fix where survivor get an advantage?

In terms of Billy, Blight and Demo, I do think that the crouch tech is a bug; especially considering it only works when there is a change in elevation.
Nemesis, however, is working as intended to my eyes. Maybe it sucks, maybe it doesn't, but I don't think he's bugged.

For Blight, Billy, and Demo, crouch tech is a bug.
For Nemesis, crouch tech is a feature. A BHVR dev literally told us that the Nemesis whip attack is actually a vertically stacked set of projectiles, that each moves in a horizontal direction.
Of course, the issue is why did BHVR create a killer weapon that looks like a whip, sounds like a whip, and animates as a whip…. But is actually a vertically stacked set of projectiles that moves horizontally?

Agreed. In case of Nemesis, the devs specifically designed the tentacle (a ranged attack) to be blocked by obstacles. So I would compare this to Huntress and Trickster not being able to hit through objects but hitting survivors over them. We don't consider these "techs" either, so why do we consider taking cover behind an object against Nemesis as a tech?
The crouch tech against Billy, Blight and Demo can also work without elevation, though it requires a much more precise positioning from the survivor.
