Anyone else tired of The Plague?

Her basekit ability is just so lame to go against. She can infect anything you interact with, spew and infect you to a broken and injured state while losing almost no mobility during the spew, you gain infection by moving and interacting even without being attacked by her, she negates any healing perks and medkits with her base kit ability, the only way to heal against her is the pools of water which gives her a stupid good ability with lots of range and janky hit boxes that can hit you just about anywhere unless you are lucky or at JUST the right spot. And if you do heal at the pools it's pointless because you get sick again right away from gens and unhooks. So you stay injured the entire game basically with no real way to counter it.

The idea behind her is cool but playing against it is absolutely miserable especially since she can completely negate tons of perks

I’ve been unironically seeing a plague once every 2 weeks and for some reason it’s always the same person playing her

    How? I have no idea

I don't really like Plague at all. I don't like how passive she can be, and how many perks she negates.

It's just a pet peeve though, I don't think she should be significantly changed. I think the passive infection rate could be reduced a little though.

I don't mind going against Plague, but it's annoying when your solo q teammates cleanse constantly giving her Corrupt Purge all game long.

I don't have a problem with her as long as my team doesn't cleanse next to my chase xD

She's really dependent on your mates, but it's a thing bhvr can't control

    I never see plague

Not my favorite Killer to go against (mainly because she takes away Bloodpoints for healing and because of teammates who decide to cleanse against her), but I dont mind her too much. Unless she goes full Slowdown with Dying Light, Thana, etc. Then it gets really boring and tedious.

She is one of those I consider easy because yeah shes just made to make you lose no matter what, Also she can still infect the exit gate yet there was a note patch 7.1 I believe(gab/singularity release) that she was not suppose to no longer be able to infect the exit switches. What happen to that?

I never understood the appeal of Thana. I find it hard to gauge if Survivors are horribly inefficient or if Im actually getting perk value.

Shes a strong killer but shes really just an m1 killer for 95% of the game if you dont cleanse. Also she can lose her power by getting pallet stunned and you can also dodge it pretty easily all you have to do is get used to being injured like going against legion.

  • Sngfun
    Sngfun Member Posts: 344

Just prerun when you hear the terror radious to a strong window setup, she doesn't have a power unless she uses her pools, and unlike legion can't punish you for sticking close to other survivors.

Plague's kinda dull, but she shows up so infrequently that I don't mind facing her every once in a while.

I very much do not enjoy versing Plague

Edit: that being said, I would take Plague over Knight, Twins or SM any day of the week

I just don't like how she can infect someone who is hooked. If I manage to avoid getting infected the entire chase and force her to M1 me twice, I don't think it's fair that she is able to infect me for free after all of that.

My only complaint is the visibility of my screen becomes nearly unplayable when infected. I have the same complaint with mend bars and Legion.

Definitely one of my least favorite killers to go up against but I barely see her so I don't mind too much.

“I am convinced that survivor players only "like" going against the killers that are bad because they can bully them. ”

Nah thats just your killer bias

I have a killer bias despite playing both roles around 50/50? Makes sense.

I played vs lipy who is a p100 oni main on twitch and sure i was in solo que but he killed me both times. He was really good with the demo Dash

“High mmr” you cant see what your match making is so what is the point in even mentioning that

It's almost like different people hold differing opinions and not every single thread you see is part of some survivor hivemind or something.

Just because one person expresses their dislike for playing against a certain killer doesn't mean that every single survivor wants to play against a perkless trapper.

against soloqueue she is great bc of her 3 gen gameplay. Soloqueue teammates hand out pools like theyre candy and then touch an infected gen 2 seconds later, rinse and repeat. Against any competent team she’s still strong but not nearly as bad

Literally any killer but plague and SM. Wasn't a fan of clown simply cause the bottles made nauseous from the old effect but play wise he's fine. Hell even The Artist at least takes some planning to use right and they give a way to drop the birds off with lockers.

Kinda but the point is going a bit over your head that the weakest killer in the list of complained about killers you are responding to is Knight who is comfortably mid.

Most players just think- "This is strong I don't know why but its high on tier list" Then they go against a strong killer but the match was extremally winnable and a better survivor would have won but they lose then they go "Strong killer so op please nerf".

The killers I don't like is not solely determined by how good the killers are because as you said some people have different opinions and preferences but there are patterns Some of my most disliked killers are

    Trapper

    Hag

    Trickster

    Slinger

    Executioner

    Artist

    Dredge

    Xenomorph

    Chucky

    Nurse

Some are strong and some are weak but even looking at this there are patterns the first 4 are good at camping the next 5 can force hits the survivor has no agency over and the nurse is blatantly OP but a lot of players just go

    Dont like Nurse

    Dont like Blight

    Dont like Billy

    Dont like Spirit

(I wonder what their problems are with)

Every killer that he has listed in his post is comfortably better than mid and knight is the only point of contention add plague to that and you see bad killers don't get complained about because a lot of people who just play suv just want to play against bad killers.

I feel i am the only one liking very much killers with side objective (pig, cenobite ) or killer with power interaction ( plague, nigtmare ).

Im so sad, bhvr wont creat unique power gameplay anymore

ok and at higher MMR GOOD oni players, they know how to deal with good survivors. ( i can easily reverse that statement). He is one of the strongest killers in the game for a reason. He is ranked A tier by almost everyone on the tierlist. If you think he is weak it’s because your not good with the killer (or you play on console which is a massive disadvantage)

“you can definitely tell the difference between people who are playing at lower mmr brackets and higher ones.”

I cant tell, with how inconsistent the matchmaking is high mmr isnt all that impressive

Correct, he is strong, because once he lands that first hit and gets his power, he can easily snowball in less than 60 seconds into winning by just downing everyone instantly. But getting that first hit means he probably loses 3 gens against a good team which is my point.

If you and your whole team doesnt cleanse shes just full m1 with no power though (the survivors dream). If you have a problem with that you'll struggle with the whole killer cast. Also keep in mind Skullmerchant gets 10 status effects including haste with those free injures. While Plague gets nothing, maybe Thana if she brings the perk

You realise these aren't always the same people right? Different people enjoy going against different killers. So it makes sense to see complaints about a majority of killers.

Also, how exactly does demo get bullied by good survivors?

Im sometimes playing The Plague and maybe its skill issue, but i havnt found corrupt vomit being as op. Hitboxes are weird, vomit trajectory is weird, survs often just crouch to counter projectile, and no, i cant hit with angle, around the corner or just behind window, not to mention that this power have time limit and short range.
