My thoughts on the current slowdown as a tier list

In my opinion obviously.

Ranking every slowdown by how healthy I think they are for the game.

Would be interested to hear your thoughts.

Deadlock is way too strong considering how it requires you to do absolutely nothing. It's a staple in my builds because you always get value from it. It should block gens for 20 seconds at most. I feel like DMS should be reduced to 20 seconds as well. The synergy it has with some other perks is too much. Pop should have the same system that Pain Res does. You get four uses and that's it. Pop is significantly stronger now due to how they buffed gen kicking and nerfed gen tapping. It should not have unlimited uses. I don't really have a problem with the rest. Even grim embrace might be fine if they did something about DMS.

For me it's Grim Embrace, because it's blocking every gen. Only a few seconds but It feels odd. There is no new animation. Just a perk that does the same like Corrupt Intervention but during the whole game. 😴

Could you give some reasons why you think some unhealthy ones are unhealthy?

Oppression should get buffed, like 60 sec cooldown, mayyyyybe 45-50. 80 sec is eternity.

Huntress's lullaby, well people shouldn't get notified, or like after 3 stacks, could throw people off (I thought you were still notified of the hex when it got no stack)

Remember me is fine, you can do a nice endgame build with it (i tried NOED, no way out, Terminus and Remember me on my Plague, it was fun)

Grim Embrace is good, in my opinion. I hate when killers bring it, but hey it prevents in some way, the perma tunneling, if the killer got 2 brain cells. I like using it too.

Petimento is easily counterable (Counterforce main here) with basic map knowledge but it's not that strong, killers use it mainly for the speep rep debuff, so just do totems

But I agree, Overcharge and Call of brine are weak, you can get value out of Overcharge against baby surv (or people with bad internet, happens to me sometimes), they were peak once though

Leverage is underbuffed too, double the debuff once a survivor is hooked or increase the duration

Dead Mans Switch I don't even see being played and it is easy countered if you are not lazy and pay basic attention.

Pop, Pain and Grim isn't unhealthy at all. We might say the numbers might be bit too high lets say but the concept of the perk is healthy as it can get. Hook people = get more time in match. Win chases = get value. Very fair.

Pentimento is avoidable. Most people run it with meh Hex perks anyway that survivors can withstand if they want to. This perk might as well do nothing. Only greedy / baby Survivors will be punished by this.

Ruin balanced? How? It's pretty weak.

Thrilling is no way a slowdown perk, its an info perk. If you are getting slowdown with thrilling your opponents are literally Meg 03 [BOT]

PGTW is probably the most healthy meta slowdown perk in my opinion. It rewards hooking survivors, but still requires you to kick a generator in order to activate.

I feel that the gen regression perks should be the best. The need in higher skill matches for the gen delay is where there is an inherent issue with the current game.

None of the perks are unhealthy on their own.

The problem is when they are stacked together, which is sadly very common.

Pop unhealthy but deadlock less unhealthy? For pop you literally have to put someone on the hook. But deadlock just happens automatically and incentivises camping

Why is Thrill of the Hunt unhealthy?

This perk is underpowered, if anything. The nerf basically killed it.

Gen regression is extremely weak right now, every regression perks except for Pop and Pain Res offer too little for a limited ressource (Surge/Eruption just chews through regression events for almost nothing).

Pain Res and Pop, despite their strength (although they were already very popular before, 7.5.0 basically made them the only slowdown worth bringing against decent teams, especially when not playing high-tier Killers) are amongst the healthiest perks since they require a hook to work (and Pain Res only has 4 uses at most).

This list seems more like a list to pinpoint the perks you dislike (although Thrill of the Hunt wth?) or that are too common for your taste since almost every prks in the "balanced" row is either worthless, barely seen or was gutted recently (and so no one uses them in mid/high mmr).
