How do I change rendering API to bypass this error?
So apparently the new upgrade to Unreal 5 is causing an issue with my video card. Despite what this error message says, my card cannot be have the drivers upgraded as it's an older card and 22.6.1 was the last update released for it.
So, how now do I change the rendering API, or is this going to be a constant thing every time I start up Dead by Daylight now or even worse actually cause the game to glitch or worse crash?

Unless you want to use unofficial drivers, there's little you can do.
But if you want to take the risk, there are community made drivers that in theory should work (never used them myself).
But again, this are not official, so there is no guarantees.
EDIT: It's an old video, but it showcase the drivers.

Use the launch option
-dx11

Tried that, get the same error only it says D3D11 instead of D3D12 and also I get weird glitchy flashing that I don't get with the normal DX12.

Ahh yeah that card is from 2015ish and they dropped support for it, unless you can find some new drivers that'll work with it you might be out of luck.

Hmmm, while that's not the answer I wanted, I think it's the best I'm going to get, so thank you very much. :)

Well, someone already suggested how to change the render API to DirectX11 instead of 12, but as that didn't work and the game has no support for other renderers like Vulkan AFAIK, having updated DirectX12 compatible drivers, even if not official, is the best option left. The other one is getting a new graphics card.
You're welcome, and I hope it solves your problem.
