Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

MMR System, PLEASE READ.

Hello everyone, this is my first suggestion on the forum, and I think Dead by Daylight should have an MMR system. You might be thinking to yourself, ‘But there’s already an MMR system in place.’ However, please hear me out first:

As we know, most games have an MMR system that shows how good you are, but Dead by Daylight has a rank system instead. The ranks are ash, bronze, silver, gold, and iridescent. In most games, once you reach the highest rank, the MMR system determines what kind of player you are. For example, in Valorant, after you reach Radiant, the higher your RR points, the higher your MMR, and you play with players who have high MMR. This MMR is visible, and there is also a top 100 ranking. In Dead by Daylight, however, once you reach Iridescent 1, your rank doesn’t increase anymore, your MMR might be increasing, but we can’t see it.

To get to the main point, I believe Dead by Daylight should have a visible MMR system. Players’ MMR should be determined based on the games they play, and even if there isn’t a top 100, I think there should be a visible MMR system after Iridescent 1. If such a system is introduced, I believe the game will be more fun, and people looking for gaming partners will be able to find more reliable options.

Since the update the ranks have nothing to do with your rating anymore - even if it still looks like it. Sadly, because the ranks are better imo.

A lot would like to see their MMR but they don´t want to show it.

nah man. This game has enough elitism as it is. Having visible mmr will just fuel that even more. Like right now if you have less than two thousand hours you’re called new…you can master a new language in half that time. We don’t need mmr causing “mrmrmrmr if you aren’t in the 1% of highest mmr your opinion is invalid”.

If there is an ENTIRELY seperate game mode for the people who want this to be the next esports competitive valorant type game. Sure. But I don’t want that and it’ll just cause more toxicity

Well i bought this game when it came out but i have 1.1k hour, not everyone is playing games 7/24 but i can say that if there were an mmr system i would be in higher mmr. You don't have to play 6k hours to be good, but yeah what you said is sadly true.

I think if we're being roped into their arbitrary MMR system then we would at least be able to see our number.

Exactly, if there's something like that i want to see it. If not there's no point being iridescent 1. I want to know what kind of people im playing with, what are their mmr (if exists)
