Twins now has the 2nd highest kill rate just under SM

If the goal now is to rework unpopular killers to make them overpowered so that more people play them, then the future doesn't look good for survivors. It makes no sense why Twins needed buffs when it already had a 59% kill rate. The issues that killers said were frustrating about Twins are what gave survivors a chance of counterplay. So it looks like this game is moving in a direction where survivors have no counterplay and are just fodder for killers? As a survivor main I don't have faith the devs want the game to be enjoyable for me, it seems these days it's all about making it more fun for killers only.

To be fair twins rn is also bugged(Suprise Suprise) making them far stronger then what they should be right now. The recall time on victor when latched is way to short right now(at least I’m fairly certain it hasn’t been fixed yet). Once this bug is fix it should be fine.

They are bugged right now. Victor isn’t meant to be able to be recalled after 10 seconds of latching on to someone, only when he is idle. Also the glow effect that tells you when you can kick him is bugged and doesn’t work all the time, making it look like you can’t kick him when actually you can.

Once that bug is fixed Twins will pretty much play the same as they did before but be less clunky. None of the counter play to them was removed, it’s just some bugs making them stronger then they actually are.

Wonder if they'll fix the 80 other bugs that nerf them alongside the 3 that help them. Or if they'll leave most of them. Fix the ones making them stronger. And call it a day. Because victor still dies on stairs or in the air. And when he latches your camera goes into the air.

Twins will actually be more clunky if the recall goes back to 30 seconds, because the regrowth timer is longer now, which means Victor hostages would force Twins to be an M1 killer for longer than they did before the rework.

And because of the Twins rework, Victor now latches onto survivors on endurance hits, which means every endurance hit is now an opportunity to hold Victor hostage.

This means Twins would have their power held hostage for longer periods of time, and would have their power held hostage more often, than before the Twins rework.

How long does it take to fix a game breaking bug, why is it still in the game weeks after release? If survivors had a bug that made them escape 70% of the time it would be hotfixed in 24 hours.

    ^ This.

If they revert it back so that they can take Victor hostage again, which it sounds like they are, they are going to be dreadful to play. The Victor taking hostage is the number one thing making them clunky to play and the main reason no one plays them. I understand they need changes to make them healthier to play against but this is not the way to do it. If they bring Victor hostage taking back they are going to still be a completely unplayed killer..again.

It was already a completely unfun experience before having your power taken hostage for over 30 seconds on every.single.injure before, but now it’s gonna be 40 seconds…even longer. I know you already mentioned this, it’s just baffling if they actually revert this.

If they need more counter play it needs to be in some other area, not denying a killer their power for that long. Like imagine that 40 second power removal on every injure..how many “minutes” is that walking around as an m1 with no power per match. Like half the match? Wild.

Not even to mention all their terrible addons that never got reworked.

They should try and find some other counter play to add instead of allowing Victor to be taken hostage again. That’s just bad design having your power taken. It’s not fun and why they aren’t played.

Maybe while using Victor survivors are completely silent and blood is removed from the ground? This would make it significantly harder to track and you’d be able to mind game lose him a ton easier. Not to mention he’s registered on the heartbeat functionality now which makes it easier to know he’s coming as well.

Goodmorning! Oh I’m having a blast with them right now as well, but it’s bittersweet as this is not how they’re going to stay. The early recall is a bug and will be getting reverted. That will be a MASSIVE nerf and remove what is actually making them fun right now. Their power being taken hostage is what made old Twins unfun and so unpopular.

There is a bugged survivor perk right now that lets you repair gens a lot faster than normal which also hasn’t been addressed for as long. So no, this isn’t some killer bias thing or a case of them hating survivors. This patch is just very buggy.

I don’t know when it will be fixed. Next week sometime at the earliest I suppose if that’s when they release the next hot fix.

Idk, as a survivor matchmaking can take so long. While as a killer it's click and go. Given it takes 4 survivors and 1 killer to make a match ... I'm feeling like survivors still get plenty of fun compared to killers in general.

True, you shouldn't make unpopular killers OP. Also true: balancing a unbalanced game is hard. I do trust the devs to take action after a period of evaluation. Go devs!

I have found it kind of odd that even when it says 100% bonus on survivor, meaning there’s a supposed lack of survivors queueing, the queue still takes minutes. Where as even when the bonus is for survivors like that my killer queue is always instant.

Haven't seen a bonus for survivors in months. Perhaps related to when I play which is usually at night?

That would explain it. During the day it’s mostly for survivors, night it’s for killers.

Yes, BHVR loves killers and are all killer mains. They hate those rascally survivors with a passion. The Twins win rate could not possibly be due to the fact that they have been so rare for survivors to face that most survivors don’t know how to play against them! No, that’s not it at all. It’s also definitely not because lots of survivors expect to be able to play the same way against all killers and not have to adapt to different powers and abilities!

I wouldn’t say twins or skull merchant is overpowered. B tier at best.

The recall “bug” is going to be an issue when they take it away. She needs that in her kit. There’s plenty of counter play so respectfully let’s not pretend there isn’t.

Let's wait and see how they perform after the 10 second Victor recall is fixed

This is the most realistic approach. The bugs need to be ironed out plus a few months time to pass, and then we can better judge Twins.

As far as source, I imagine they're referring to Nightlight stats, which I too have issues with being anything other than a semi-useful chart sort of maybe.

They said they hoped to address the recall time bug in a hotfix, but that unfortunately hasn't happened yet.

Just for the curious: The Arkade did a showcase of a pub Twins player without any comp experience (as far as I know) against X9, one of the best teams in the world right now. 5 matches, 5 4ks - https://www.twitch.tv/thearkade_/video/2133917069.
