What are you talking about? That feature would be part of the game program, not a separate one. If you are that wary, what are you doing with the game installed with a ring-0 anti-cheat that has already got access to all of your information? (EAC, if you don't get it)

That was a rhetorical question. It's apparent you don't have a firm grasp of the tech behind all this.

The point is: checking activity to detect sore losers and quitters may be a good idea.

I don't have it installed on a PC with personal information. I don't have any games on my PC that has my work stuff nor my personal information. I've seen Sony get hacked enough to be wary.

Likewise, the entire argument is ludicrous. The fact that you bit at it and thought it was a good idea just shows how ridiculous it truly is. Nobody is going to allow them to install a key logger just to ensure everyone is trying at their absolute best. Like, Jesus Christ dude.

I'd say we should HWID ban people for DC'ing, but you'd probably think that's appropriate as well.

You probably understand the vast majority of players don't use a blank computer to play games, so that's not an issue for the vast majority of users.

An hardware ban would be a bit too much for their lack of spine.

As for the activity detector (which is not a key logger, no matter how much you want to frame it that way) it's truly a good idea. It'd detect AFK and hook suicides with just a feature that'd be quite easy to implement.

Survivor role can't screw around like they used to. Was kinda the point of playing tbh.

Its bad. I feel like the more views your youtube channel has, the more weight your voice has. We are all players of this game. All our opinions should be treated the same way.

Both roles arent that hard. The sooner we get away from us vs them - arguments, the faster we can come to actual solutions.

It is competitive since they introduced MMR and DC penalty. The standard attributes of any competitive game. The best way to see the difference is to compare Casual and Competitive modes of games like TF2, who have both. One has DC penalty and MMR, the other doesn't. And if the game has all major mechanics of a competitive game while declaring itself casual - it's called an identity crisis, when the devs themselves don't even know anymore what the game is supposed to be.

There are three distinct roles in this game: soloQ, killers and SWFs. SWFs make the game miserable for killers, and killers make the game miserable for soloQ. And since both soloQ and SWFs are in the same queue and play by the same rules, it's impossible to balance survivors in general with the killer, because of this "fork" in the balance. And nothing can be done until the devs address this core balance issue. So this Us vs Them could actually be quite beneficial for the game's health and future if in US we unite both killers and soloQ, and in THEM we put SWF and push the issue further. The simple Survivor vs Killer debate is indeed misleading.

Ive had matches where I've done gens, gone for saves, helped other surviviors and I've STILL burn ratted out and it honestly makes me think "I should just glue to gens and nothing else".

If I load into a match, get chased by the killer, run them for a while and then eventually get hooked and my teammates haven't touched a gen because they were too busy opening chests, doing boons and sitting in the corner then I will ABSOLUTELY go next on hook and I'm not sorry.

Honestly with me playing both killer and survivor with a little more survivor gameplay I see both sides of the coin. I see more dcs against killers like Huntress, Doctor, any stalker killers that are popular, and if anyone gets downed in the first minute they tend to just kill themself on hook. Almost every huntress game I play I get at least 1 or 2 dcs especially if I get an early down with Lethal Pursuer.

I think it's a mix of who's a popular killer right now along with super long term players just getting really bored so when they down early enough and aren't having fun they just go next. People just need to remember that no matter the balance of the game, it is just a game, meant to have fun and not take it too seriously even if you are a competitive player like I tend to be. And even if you have a bad game, it's still blood points, the only games I'll dc is if the killer is slugging and downed us all letting us bleed out lol.

Honestly a ban system would really help this, If you could just say I dont wanna play into this killer, or even these 3 killers dodging would decrease astronomically.

You made the claim. Show us some evidence.

Also, the tried and true, "You disagree, so you must be an X main" is a little old.
