This year, A Nightmare on Elm Street 1984 turns 40 years old, you can release the classic Freddy skin movie for the anniversary in November of this year. I think Freddy's fans would immediately buy the skin. And everyone would be happy, both the copyright holders and fans of the original 1984 film

    This Freddy is the reboot Freddy and they can only do so much with him.

    I'm secretly hoping the reason BHVR hasn't said anything about Freddy is they have the clout and bankroll now to make a play for Robert Englund Freddy.

    That said, I actually rewatched the remake, and with the rose tinted fanboyishness for originals I had 14 years ago, I actually liked it a lot more on a second watch.

    Sure I have gripes and things I would point out... there was a reason I didn't like it on a first watch, but on a repeat viewing, it's grown on me a little more.

    I have a new found appreciation for the dream snares now... if they made Freddy more skillshot based rather than a trap based, where his dream effects are a little more active, I think he'd be much more engaging to play.
