We officially have 2v8 announced! But only for 5 killers?
I believe this is a massively missed opportunity to have a LOT of mixture and different playstyles. There's only so much you can do with the first 5 original killers. Imagine instead mixing up things like Singularity and Unknown instead of just Trapper and Wraith.
I understand the concept is new and takes a lot of effort/thought, but I believe we should at least be told that the devs will do their best to include more killers.
Either way, very exciting. Can't wait to have a teammate!

They mentioned they plan to add more killers later on.
They also mention that they are giving killer powers teamwork. The example on stream being that cloaked wraith grants the nearby ally killer undetectable as well.

I am aware that the killers are getting "teamwork powers" instead of perks, but I haven't heard the part about adding more killers. Are you sure?

On stream they are starting with the 5 free killers so that it's accessible for everyone and as they iterate the mode they plan to implement more killers.

I went to the exact part where they say that they're starting with the 5 original killers to keep it accessible but afterwards there's nothing relating they'll add more of them. You're sure you didn't hear it wrong?

After they talk about the cages instead of hooks for the mode, they mention they are looking to add more in future iterations.

Welp, my bad, they don't actually say "starting with".
But at the end of the stream in the Q&A, someone asked, and they did confirm they will add more killers in future iterations.
…along with saying the gamemode is not going to be permanent. Kill me.

They probably add more killers later it's lot of balancing so it's fine to have only 5 killers now. I was not even expecting 2vs8 to actually happen anymore.

I see a lot of good ideas like the cages, no perks, surv classes and killer power combos, but only having the 5 initials at launch made me lose the interest completely.
Will do like I did with RE4 Remake Mercenaries. Not touching it until Wesker is available.1 -

I'm really excited but I'm just immensely hoping there's killer specifically for this mode that come in pairs, like maybe the 2 chefs from little nightmares 1 for example

I wonder if we'll get licensed killers in here, they might have to negotiate the rights again in order to add them to a new game mode…
Maybe they will? At this point, I applaud anything that gets them to ask New Line Cinema if they can give Freddy the Englund, New Nightmare, and NES skins yet

The biggest issue with this mode is you've got a lot of crossover powers and unique interactions that can potentially interfere with each other:
- Pig box, Plague fountain, Nemesis/Wesker Singularity chest spawns, etc.
- Sadako TV, Xenomorph turret, Trapper trap spawns near gens.
- HUD status effects interactions like Pig headtraps, Plague infection, Nightmare Dreamworld, Pyramid Head Torment, etc.
- Huntress and Trickster interacting with lockers… then how does Dredge work on top of that?
There are potentially loads of places where there can be problematic interactions between killers... so it just makes sense to start slow and keep it simple for now.

If it's only a limited time event, just add 2v8 as is. No need to waste much time balancing it. Being able to abuse broken things is what makes it fun.

Kinda' hard to track with the starting roster being different on various platforms.
