Fragment Feast - Rift End Rework
So, this is a two parter discussion.
My first question is, what is the actual point of a rift fragment feast this late into the rift?
Most of the active players have already completed the rift, and with the anniversary coming up, even non-active players will probably play enough to complete their rift.
Which brings me to my second point, I really think the way rifts max out needs a rework. As it currently stands, rift fragments do nothing once you hit the max tier of the current rift, which just kind of feels bad. There really should be some scrolling infinite unlock, ideally shards, but even just BP would be better than nothing.
A lot of other games have some kind of "infinite" reward for active players who finish their versions of a rift, so it feels really weird that DBD lacks one. This fix would also make swapping out a very useful BP feast for a very useless Rift fragment feast feel much better for your most active players.
Thanks for reading. What do the rest of you think?

I think the only people who have the rift complete are streamers and people who play multiple hours everyday. We're not even halfway through the tome and lvl 3 only just released so I feel plenty of people will be able to use the extra rift boost.
For the 2nd part I agree. Many people have brought up having a bit extra BP for every level after hitting the cap.

Yeah the rift bonus feels like a dud for me since I've already had it done. Wish it converted into extra bloodpoints if we're done.

I agree with the second part. Fragments should convert to BP or shards once the rift is complete.
Disagree with the first part, that most people have completed the rift at this point. I'm not even halfway through, though granted I have quite a few unclaimed challenges because I'm saving BP for the next chapter. I know that I would easily finish the rift before it closes either way but the fragment feast might help those that don't play that much or who don't like the tome challenges to get to the end more easily.

For sure the second part

I agree with rewards after the rift, however I disagree that this event is useless.
I haven’t had much time to play during this rift and so I’m not even halfway. This event is great for people like me and actively encourages us to come back.

It's not intended for people who grind the Rift in the first week it comes out.
There's still over 50 days left in the Rift. How on earth is it already considered 'late' when it only opened less than a month ago.

They made the Rift very easy to complete. I dont think it is possible to not complete the Rift at this point, except if you are VERY inactive and almost not playing at all. They even made it easier recently with Rift Fragments added after 500 XPs. So people who play the game active might have already finished it or are close to being finished.
E.g. I am now at Tier 74 or something like that. And this is the usual case for me, I complete the Rift either shortly before or during Tome Level 3. So everything which comes with Rift Fragments (Login Bonusses, Double Rift Fragments, Challenges) becomes useless for those players. And you dont even have to grind for it, you just have to like the game and play it for a 2 or 3 hours a day. And it always feels a bit like being left out.
@Topic:
I opened this thread yesterday:
It is basically the second point. Just a few BPs in the free track and a few Iri Shards in the paid track would do the trick. This should 100% be a thing and I am surprised they did not add this with their latest changes which made the Rift even faster and easier to complete.

I'm only tier 50 and i've done nearly every challenge. I've played 24hrs over the past 2 weeks so that's more than an hour a day.

"And you dont even have to grind for it, you just have to like the game and play it for a 2 or 3 hours a day."
Friend, that IS a grind. Playing a single game three hours a day, every single day, is not normal.
I have a million other games, and other things to do.
The Rift is supposed to take you three months to complete. Anyone who plays the game 20+ hours a week has no right to complain when they get left out of things meant for other players to catch up with.

I dont think you understand what I said.
To get to this Level or finish the Rift, you"need" to play for like 2 or 3 hours a day. But then you have finished the Rift with 55 (!!) days to go. You dont need to play 2 or 3 hours a day to finish the Rift in total. You probably need to play 2 games or so to finish the Rift before it closes.
Calling this a grind would be so wrong.
And well, if you really think that people who play the game a lot should gain nothing… Fine I guess. I mean, what should I do? Play less because then I only complete the Rift after 3 months because it was designed that everyone can complete it, even when playing only 2 games a day?

you don't have to grind, just gotta grind.
I think you have a very narrow view of what a grind is… you don't need to spend 10 hours in a row for it to be a grind.
as for the topic.
1- how do you know how many people finished the rift? for all we know, 10% of players won't benefit from it, so it benefits 90% of the game population
2- yes. I'm pretty sure everyone would agree to that.

I haven't finished the Rift because I haven't been playing DbD for several hours every day, so I like having a fragment boost.
