Can you make it where survivors can see the killer in the lobby also. Even if its just the killer poking their head from behind a tree or a shadow silhouette standing in the distance, something is better than nothing.

    I think it would be better than people dead hooking at the beginning of the game because they hate the killer and there are alot of players that don't care about what killer they get. If its about selecting perks to counter the killer then how is it fair that the killer can see flashlights in the lobby and put on lightborn or franklin. The developers can make it where the killer can't see the survivors also 🤔 that would be better i guess

    As others said before you could get a full perk loadout that counters everything the killer can do, whereas as the killer the only thing you can counter is the item of those players, and you could still last second swap an item in if you really cared about that…

    Bad idea because lobby dodging is a real problem and some killers would never get lobbies or would only encounter builds which directly counter them.

    I would like it though, if we could see the player's name and ping (as well as our own). That would fix a lot of issues.

    If this is the case then we should increase the penalty so quitters can stay out of the game longer, so they wont disturb the players.

    The lobby dodging wouldn't change honestly...its no different that dead hooking at the beginning.

    Its not so much the killer they are dodging its the type of player playing the killer, most skull merchants and clowns camp and tunnel and survivors know it so they choose to dead hook and go to the next match.

    The only killer I see having trouble is the doctor really 🤔 the survivors would only be able to counter his power not his perks. The killers that can one shot you wouldn't be countered because even if survivors ran unbreakable all the killer has to do is not slug and hook them. They can nerf/change calm spirit 😂

    Not slugging is for example quite a big nerf for Oni because you get kicked out of your power every time… There many very killer specific perks that might not be good otherwise but are quite rough on those killers… Urban Evasion, Calm Spirit, Iron Will for example. It is just not viable to let the survivors see which killer they are up against, aside from the obvious part of you can just use a map offering to send the killer to the worst map imaginable…

    Then the situational perks that nobody runs because they are a dead perkslot like franklins, lightborn or what not will not get run anymore at all…

    They are already trash and barely anyone runs them, would just add more perks to the pile of garbage perks that have no value at all.

    That doesn't make any sense, when you have killers that are hard countered by perks. They would become so miserable.

    I am fine with this, if you are willing to go for competitive rules and there can't be item, or perk twice and probably ban some perks based on killer. But that's also terrible idea…
    Would be an interesting approach if they ever decide for ranked mode for some reason, which is still bad idea in my opinion.

    Also lobby shopping would go wild with this.

    Im just saying its not fair that the killer can see a flashlight or too many items and throw on a perk to counter it and survivors can't do the same 🤷‍♀️ I think my idea might be helpful, survivors that don't mind playing certain killers will que up and play instead of having everyone dead hook at the start of the match😬

    Yea I've gotten a few bully squads over the years so I get that but honestly most bully squads get killed really quickly because they just throw instead of doing gens 🤦🏼‍♀️

    Well they could make it where survivor lobbies can't have more than 2 of the same perk/item so killers aren't being bullied too much and maybe even rework some perks 🤔

    If anything they could do a trial run and see how everything works out and if its terrible then they can revert back to normal 😅

    Rework some perks should be on the list anyway... Limiting it would be an issue because how do you decide who gets to keep the item when more than 2 have it selected? They might just dodge if they cannot keep their item.

    Would probably be too much effort for them, but I agree that they could put on some more experimental changes on the PTB.

    Maybe the lobby pairing system can avoid pairing more than 2 of the same items/perks

    Well that's a bit off topic now... Well I guess either change how doing gens work (minigames), change gens into something else without really changing what you do to finish them or just change a core element of the game and you will need to rebelance literally everything, every perk item offering addon killer mechanic and so on and so forth... You are basically making a new game at this point...

    Depending on how much you change it could still be a new game mode, but I don't know...

    So longer queues? Great... The math making barely works as it is, with even more restrictions and backfilling and what not... Despite the fact that people could intentionally avoid getting into certain lobbies by just having selected the same item... Let's say new start high mmr survivors only use flashlights now they can never get into a lobby with other survivors of their mmr... Super easy to abuse.

    The thing is i understand where you come from but this could never work. Why should any survivor stay in a lobby with Blight or a nurse?

    Yes ofcourse then bhvr could see wich killers are problematic and then they can change them so people dont avoid them but there will always be a top5 best killers.

    When you nerf the top5 the nect killer naturally take there space so people would aviod these killer and by that all we have is a strange killer shuffel and a killer player just looses the ability to play ahis favourite killer he invested time and money into for the time till bhvr nerfs him. And that will be a nerf not because the killer is unbalance but because he endet up in the top5.

    Just imagine the killer could see if they face a swf. No swf would ever get to play again.

    And to Adress you point about the killer seeing the survs. It is part of bhvrs balance, they want the killer to have the ability to prepare for the trail to a certain extent and thats cause in the end the killer faces 16 perks with his four perks so bhvr thinks the killer should atleast have the opportunity to counter the items survs bring.

    The only thing the pregame lobby needs to lose is the ability to check profiles and to see prestige
