the nerf to ds is a mistake
ds is fine at five seconds

I'd rather keep it 5 but make it deactivate if the killer hooks someone else.

pain res and pop are fine at 25% & 30% current. Just take the meaningless nerf because you'll still run it anyway.

Sluzzy alt account?

nahh 10 sec stun lock?? Must got hit with one of them tcm doors

Alot of people thinking DS should disable power so it would only affect high tier killers like Blight Nurse Wesker Huntress Spirit.. But Devs said they dont want to make it a thing.
4sec DS is fine, though one thing when I use DS + OTR is I only able to use OTR since the chase likely end at 55sec and killer picks me up with time up DS. You can only use both of them if you down on purpose when DS has about 10sec left.

@Strodie A 2 minute timer with a 10 second stun that then disables killer power for 5 seconds after? Not strong enough mate, it oughta disconnect my controller and kick my dog too

And it should also open the exit gate for you and revive teammates, but only after it doxes the killers IP address and alerts the local authorities of their illegal cheese smuggling business.

4 seconds is just fine. It wasn't even that bad at 3 seconds, but 5 seconds put its in an area where it's too good at being used offensively.

Quality bait right there.

Idea is fine with one addition. The survivor cannot bodyblock with ds.
When ds is active, and the killer chases the survivor and a survivor that has ds active, the survivor with ds active looses collision with the killer until they are no longer chased or do a conspicuous action.

5 seconds made it too safe for using it aggressively/offensively. 3 seconds was usually too weak for anti-tunnel. So they put it in the middle at 4 seconds.
Either it has to not be possible to use DS offensively (then 5 seconds would be fine), or if it can be used offensively then it can't be a 5 second stun. Personally I would prefer they make it impossible to use offensively, so that it can stay at 5 seconds for anti-tunnel purposes. Reducing it to 4 seconds was probably just the faster and easier to implement solution

10 seconds is too long. There is a point where punishing something goes too far. I mean, at that point it would just feel terrible while not even making much of a difference to a smaller stun, since you get away in either case. The killer also doesn't go into a match to get stunned for 10 seconds. Even complete invincibility would be a better option than this.
But we also have the problem that this supposed anti tunnel perk is not actually used as an anti tunnel perk. People use it to become meat shields for their team mates. So buffing DS without further restrictions is only going to make that issue worse.

10 seconds is far too much, but I completely agree with the first paragraph here.
Unfortunately, since a 5s DS stun was literally the bare minimum effort the devs could put towards tunneling issues, and it took them not only 2 years to do it but they also immediately reverted half of it, you can dream about anti tunneling perks or buffs all day and it won't matter.
This change tells me the devs don't care about giving any effective tunneling tools. They either want the game to play out that way, or maybe they've just bought into the 'tUnNeLlInG iS nEcEsSaRy' crap.
The reason doesn't really matter, the punch line is that they aren't taking bare minimum, reasonable actions, so we should stop hoping they'll take more drastic measures.
Expecting more at this point it's just wishful thinking.

So you can do a whole gen and a third in godmode? Cool.

Here is my change:

I am on the boat that it should stay at 5 seconds and make it so killers can't use their M2 for few seconds.
And maybe instead of deactivating in the endgame, it could when someone else gets hooked?
1 -
The problem with the hook deactivation suggestions is trading. People will just camp more to hook trade in order to avoid ds.

please never leave again, the forums arent the same without you~

If you nerf tunneling (bodyblocks counts as tunneling for that perk btw), you also need to nerf gen speed, or you will totally break the balance of the game.
What gen regression perk would you buff to a similar amount to compensate?
Pain hooks at 12 charges? 10 minutes corrupt intervention? 60% pop goes the weasel?
Because if you "solve tunneling" then you need to solve the main problem of the other side too.
I will be waiting for your answer.

People mentioning it being disabled when someone else is unhooked like the killer can't down the rescuer immediatly, hook them in the hook right in front of them and use chase power's light Blight rush, Nurse blink, Spirit power, Wesker power, Billy chainsaw, etc. to immediatly catch up to the tunneled survivor.
DS being disabled when you repair generators is fine. DS should stay at 5 gens and duration should be doubled, why should i be punished if i'm a good looper and i loop the tunneler for more than 60 seconds?

My kind of DS
