Console Ready-Up Bug

There is a bug on console (at least xbox) that I have experienced for years. I would ready-up, and then upon realizing that I didn't want to or mean to, I would try to unready and it would refuse to process the command. I would also not be able to access the store/shrine of secrets at all. Repeatedly pressing the ready button would not fix it, nor changing character/loadout. The only "fix" that I've found is going into the archives and deselecting and reselecting a challenge, and even then, it isn't a guaranteed fix.
This bug is extremely irritating and has not only wasted much of my time but has decreased my overall enjoyment of the game.
