Scratch marks have been inconsistent an unreliable lately

Massive gaps in the scratch marks

Disappearing completely

Or going in the wrong direction completely

This is not every game but its happening regularly an seems to be worse on older maps for some reason . I sometimes assume it must be some perk affecting them but there is never a scratch mark related perk. An foot steps sounds seem to be non existent on most maps so tracking has become difficult

I though this was just me but i came across dozens of other people experiencing the same issue over the past couple of weeks

    I've been noticing it from time to time, even watching survivors as it happens.

    No walking, no perks that effect scratch marks, yet there will be gaps and inconsistencies here and there.

    There’s definitely something wrong with them. Sometimes they are just inconsistent and/or have noticeable gaps when the survivor never stopped running. It’s almost like Lightweight but without actually having Lightweight.

    I gave a link with someone elses video proof. They don't care about console players that can't record gameplay and they have stayed silent since. I just want an acknowledgement they are looking into it.

    what console are you on? as xbox has a built on record feature.
    or you can connect xbox to twitch you could stream the game an then take clips from the stream
    hope that helps. Don't know if they have it on playstation. Have a look online about how to conect your xbox or playstaion to twitch stream the game make sure you have vods uploaded in settings. Then afer your stream you can edit clips from the stream as short an long as you like

    I miss the old gameplay when it comes to scratch. At least it wasn't splattered on the ceiling or not attached to the one you went to on the parting of the ways.

    For around a year they've been bad and only seem to get worse with time. I think the devs thought actually having scratch marks work properly was too much of a buff to killers, so they shadow nerfed them and are keeping quiet until the outrage gets too loud.
