I guarantee that people are going run sabo builds for a while. Kind of like when Breakout got released years back everyone ran it trying to get value from it.

According to the patch notes no changes were apparently made, I personally might play survivor for a while now though. But if I do killer for rituals/challenges I will run Starstruck.

Grip Wrench already did that. They just added an extra 5 seconds to the timer. That's it.

Use Knock Out + some perks and add-ons that cause blindness and always slug
You dont need buffs to sabotaging to play like that
I promise you, its way easier than focusing on hooks
You may only lose if you are versing a really good 4 SWF team, but you would still have a hard time against them playing for hooks anyway

Yeah, it's +15s → +20s. It's a minor buff.

Bring Agitation if you're really worried about it, bring Agitation and a rotten oak offering if you're unreasonably worried about it.

Can’t wait to play even more phead and just cage survivors followed by outright deleting half of their builds and denying them their sabo plays 😎

Just like the removal of hook grabs. Slowly but surely removing all skill and planning needed. I used the saboteur tool box with speed add ons and grip wrench and Sabo’d the hook closest to me after getting hit. Needless to say the killer couldn’t hook me.

I'm personally wondering if I can play in a way to force Sadako mori's, but Pyramid Head is looking mighty fine this patch.

If they do that change, I guarantee survivors will die slugged for the foreseeable future.
I don't think I'll dare bring a toolbox either as it may make the killer more aggressive.

Funnily enough, I encounter such builds from time to time.
They usually don't like the way it inevitably ends.

I just know sabo sqauds are gonna be the ones who get the most value, holding the game hostage as long as possible on maps with poor hook logic and layouts for boil over.

I don't think it will be an issue the way everyone thinks it will be, the hooks are close in today's dbd besides maybe a couple maps that have dead spots, and they have to have multiple survivors off gens to pull it off if they just have one survivor there to help you can easily switch hooks the issue is gonna be bully squads where nobody does gens they just try to stay alive as long as possible and make the game as crappy as they can for the killer, this will be one of those things people try for two weeks and then drop and especially with a new chapter coming out I see more people making new builds with the new perks than throwing games to do the same old Sabo plays they've already done a thousand times over.

yeah no matter which side we are in for a bad time. I might take a break for a bit if its going the way i think it would. As killer you are forced to slugg and as survivor you will be slugged because anyone and their cat will try to run sabo builds now, even if you yourself try to just get out and do the gens.

The question is; why are we making this the more effective way to play? 3 meta perks that all required the killer to hook are nerfed and toolboxes are buffed for sabo plays. Shouldn't hooking be the way to play killer?
I agree that hardcore slugging is already too strong. Anything that further incentivises it or even buffs it (like Knockout) should be looked at. But the devs have refused to do that for years, so maybe this needs to become a more prevalent issue.

They increase it to 20 seconds from 15. So now it takes thirty seconds to respawn after the sabo

I did not expect the Alex toolbox speed to be nerfed after the PTB. I will continue to dive into the survivor queue to consume my surplus of items for a while until an update changes things.

Hooks are so close together now Saboing and perks like boil over are pointless. This doesn't fix the issue with that.

Play her like 1.0 Sadako, know survivors near TV's if you can. While they are swarming to help you can push free stacks on them. combo it with forced hesitation too so you can maximise your slugging potential

is holding tapes still makes survivors immune to condemn? Sorry for the random question I don’t play onryo but I’ve read most of the patch notes regarding her back and forth reworks

Nah, but taking tapes does stop the nearby TVs from being active for 70 seconds iirc. Pretty simple to just exchange the tapes around, I do that occasionally against Sadakos.
I'm guessing if I wanted to force condems I'd have to do slugs, which I am not looking forward to. At least with Pyramid Head I could try to play normal even against sabo squads.

Agitation won't help you against it, when survivor can bodyblock hook, sabo and leave.
There are other perks that will work against it, but I am usually too lazy to watch lobby and alter my build. I will just bleed them to death whenever someone tries it.1 -
Agitation literally makes you faster than the survivors while carrying so you can either race the survivor to the hook or just start heading to a hook that's a little further away and both are viable.
I guess if bodyblockers is the main thing you're worried about iron grasp could potentially be better but personally I'd rather just walk past or away from the survivors and not be bothered.
People could even bring both if they hate the idea of sabos that much but that's overkill IMO, I really think this change is gonna do way less than people think tbh with how many tools killers have to counter sabos and how weak of a strategy relying on breaking hooks is in general. It's always been annoying but never actually good.

I don't think it is best way to win, but it is definetly very annoying to deal with. That's why I won't bother actually countering it, I will just do another annoying thing to make it fair… I don't need any perk to bleed someone out.
