Has anyone been falsely banned before? I was accused and I'm paranoid.
Hi!! I know the title maybe sounds sus but I swear I've never cheated. I have 4000 hours on this game and I've spent so much money and I can't lose it, but someone in my last game accused me of "speed cheating" and said they recorded it and that they will report me. I don't have a recording of that game but I often do record and stream my gameplay. Is there a chance I'll lose my account? If so, is there anything I can do about it?

If you did not cheat, you will not be banned. Dont worry.

People will say anything when they're salty to get under your skin

People accusing you of cheating is like a badge of honor, it means you were so good they can't comprehend that you beat them

Yes, I’ve been accused and spam reported A LOT. You will not be banned if you don’t cheat.

Nope, there was a time where the result screen would show the wrong build for killers and i got accused of "Modding" by a salty 3 swf, to this day i haven't received anything by BHVR. In my experience, you are more likely to get away with breaking the rules than get punished without breaking them.

I think the only other scenario you can ever be banned is griefing in some fashion that extends the game to, like, one full hour. Like if you body blocked someone for an hour with hatch open.
Other than that, you’d have to go out of your way to get banned and pop open Cheat Engine itself while EAC is active.

With perks like Background Player and Sprint Burst, it's pretty difficult for someone to definitively determine you are cheating by footage alone.
Even if you are literally flying through the air, I'm pretty sure the moderation team would need to assume innocence until more reports come in. As far as someone reviewing the footage is concerned, the footage could be doctored to make you look like you are cheating.
As frustrating as it is to encounter cheaters, a system that is frequently banning innocent players is a bigger problem.0
