Anyone still gonna use Pop after Monday?
Title.
Maybe it's just me, but I think it'll still be decent especially when a base kick removes 5% in an instant nowadays and gen tapping is no longer possible, so I'll probably still use it. (I mean, what else can I use either way?)
But I'm curious what everyone else has to think.
Pop still good even with 20% of current progress removal? Yay or nay?

I used it before it got buffed from 20% to 30% (current progress), and I can confidently say that it's not a bad perk.
I think when it originally got nerfed from 25% total to 20% current, people were initially not very receptive of the change but after using it a lot after the original nerf it wasnt that bad.
None of this is even going into perk synergies (Call of Brine, Overcharge, Surveillance, etc.), which Pop Goes already had going for it across all versions.
So yea, TLDR; it will still be good, I think people are overblowing the whole thing by saying "Pop Goes is now a dead perk".

I haven't been using it before and I'm not gonna start using it now.
Surge has always been my go to regression perk.
In terms of strength, it's going to be alright. I don't think people will drop it.

i use it on 4 killers. wraith, xenomorph, freddy and blight. i don't see myself moving away from nowhere to hide+pop+eruption+pain res on those killers. so yes i'd still probably use it.
On other killers, i prefer pain res+grim embrace. corrupt and deadlock would be my 3rd and 4th choice if I run more game-delay.

If other perks such as Thanatophobia, Irruption, and Surge had been modified to make them easier to use, I might use them, but unfortunately they just nerfed a highly used perk, so I will probably still use PoP and Painless.Without the perk that interferes with Gen, most matches are over in 5 or 6 minutes, no matter how many kills you get.

Given the importance of each kick, and the extra value it gives you with any of NTH, Trail of Torment, Unforseen I don't see Pop going anywhere. The fact it applies on top of the 5% basekit gen regression as well just makes it a great perk design.
Even after the nerfs, using Pop:

Eruption will just replace pop maybe you see it on certain killers though

TBH they got nerfed but still are the best perks so ppl will still use em. Maybe pop+eruption will be more popular now

That sounds like a build full of variety...

It is still a good perk but I haven't used pop in years now, I don't kick gens usually because on most killers stopping to kick the Gen and then going for chase again is not even worth it, which is why I don't build around kicking gens and just use different perks... Usually corrupt BBQ 1 chase perk and one slowdown on the better killer and since Distortion has been more of a thing lately I just run 3 slowdown and one chase perk on most killers...

I'm still going to stick with Surge.

I did switch from Surge to Pop for a little while after the regression limit was put in place. But I missed the little dopamine hit of blowing up multiple gens at the same time with Surge, so I'm back using that as my sole regression perk on basic attack Killers again.
It would have been fine staying at 30% if it wasn't being used in such a strong combo with Pain-Res and it needed nerfing because of that. But I don't expect to see it less often. It'll still be one of the strongest regression perks in the game.

Yes a lot of people will still use all the perks that were nerfed, most likely because they feel like there is no choice. Everything that affects gens on the survivor side was not touched, while a bunch of gen slowdown stuff was. This is not going to stop people from using the perks, it is just gonna make using them less effective than they were. Changing things on one side without looking at the reason why it was so popular to begin with hardly ever works out from a balance perspective. Guess we'll find out

I was using it before it got buffed to 30%. It was still good.

Since I never hook, no

If I’m already running perks to kick gens then sure, otherwise it’s terrible. It’s generally going to be a dead perk though. We already had the perk at 20% before so we know how popular it will be. It wasn’t. No one ran the perk.
That said, no one’s gonna run it as their core slow down but potentially if they’re already stacking 4 slow downs they’ll throw it on the pile.

I’ll still use it but not as much. Pop was never my favorite regression perk to use anyway, I usually prefer slowdowns that don’t require me to kick gens (Surge, Pain Res, Corrupt are probably the ones I use the most)
