If you have to add a content warning for spiders, why would they add one to the game?

because you would know about the triggers being there in the game while you may not expect them in a forum thread that is otherwise expected to be text only? And there are quite a few forum members on here that arachnophobia including at least one on the moderation team.

Coulrophobia exists, and Clown exists in DBD, there even a perk with that exact name.
Emetophobia exists and Plague exists, her Mori is the nightmare of anyone having emetophobia.
So why not a Spider killer?

Yeah that stuff is grandfathered in, for the millionth time. Do you think BHVR of 2024 is the same as BHVR is 2018-19? They aren't. There's a mindfulness about accessibility that didn't exist back then and I'd bet arachnophobia is more common than either of those.
There will never be a spider killer.
