Slinger's buffs are nice, but he still needs more

Slinger's reload movement speed buffs make him feel better to play overall, I think, however, he still has some major issues that I think need addressing.

First, he is far too easy to prerun from. His 32m TR is a big hinderance. It is nearly double his range, and he can't do anything at all against Survivors who run instantly the second they hear him. Both Huntress and Trickster have potentially unlimited range, so they do not suffer from this problem nearly as much.

He needs his TR set back to 24m. If Monitor and Abuse would still be an issue when run on him, then a quiet lullaby of the same range could be added. This would make him more stealthy basekit and reduce the synergy with Monitor that he once had.

This is probably his biggest issue currently.

Secondly, his post-miss movement speed is too low. It feels extremely punishing to miss a shot at all. It could do with an increase.

Thirdly, the survivor collision hitbox feels a tad too small. You get instances where it looks like the harpoon will pass through players, and it's really annoying. The environment collision hitbox shouldn't be changed, though.

Fourthly, the reeling speed buffs are not really noticeable, and didn't warrant a nerf to the respective addons. The base reeling speed could probably be increased further.

Finally, he really needs an addon pass in general, as most of his addons feel extremely underwhelming.

    You know I completely forgot about his buffs while I was playing him yesterday.

    But I feel like he could benefit from one or two of your suggestions. I tend to run him with undetectable related perks due to the TR.

    Well, yesterday, a slinger shots me > 40meters in the distance (I wasn't in his terror radius) from the main in Garden of Joy on the edge of the map, near the shack.
    Naturally it was a lost shot bc I could escape (but with an injury) from his harpoon but it was a nice shot.
    I don't know how limited is his range but except that, an extended range for his weapon doesn't seem to be useful.
    The problem with the deathslinger still was his instant aiming with so few cooldown/penalty for cancelling it. He is almost silent when he is aiming…

    And on the contrary, his fastiest shot can go through some very very small holes of the environnement when the huntress' hatchets have to go over the environnement.
    So I don't know… I'm a bit doubtful, but.. it is the survivor who speaks here…

    i have no idea how you come to a conclusion that you were shot over 40 meters away from slinger because you didnt hear the terror radius, there are addons that reduce his terror radius, and he could've also had perks to make himself undetectable, his max range is always 18 m.

    He does not have anything approximating an instant aim, it takes a half a second before you can fire. That's forever in terms of human reaction speed. It rings like a bell when he begins the action.

    Yeah slinger can shoot through small gaps. Good. Every singer that learns what weird little gaps they can shoot through has put time and effort into that knowledge. It's a huge part of his skill cap and I cannot even be mad when I get hit like that.

    I'd rather play vs slinger than huntress any day of the week. At least he's punished for missing shots and pellets actually matter vs him.

    I've watched the replay of my game, and finally yeah… I have a bit exagerated: I was in his terror radius (unhooking someone at ~25-30m probably). So my bad. I was a long range shot anyway…
    But I can confirm at this distance, I didn't seen him aiming a shot & I had no sound neither of his action (aiming)… just a harpoon's chain sound when he has shot and the harpoon's pierced my chest.

    you can use monitor&abuse on him. it allows him to get initial shots. the difference between 24 and 18 meter is very mild that a survivor can barely tell that they have been shot. Still, i don't think changes did anything.
