Since when dbd turned into baby survs mode?
I recently started playing dbd again after taking a "break" 2 years ago. But now 9 out of 10 games in "gold rank" i'm playing with people who just had played like 1 or 2 hours... I though that "rank" were only for people that were that rank or how does it work now? Do I need to rank up to the red one to avoid playing with new players?
Also I'm not telling trash about new players, but it's not fun for me playing with people that doesn't know you can heal other survs without a medkit or you can heal your self from Legion hit or failing every skillchek….

This is not Rank, those are Grades. And Grades have nothing to do with Matchmaking.

Oh okey, so is there a way to get a rank? Or a competitive mode with ranks I didnt notice? Cause when I used to play that "grade" was important for matchmaking…

The game is using a hidden MMR for matchmaking. So at some point you should reach your MMR-Range and then you will most likely not play with completely new players anymore.

Oh okey I understand, I will keep playing then! Last question, is there a number of games I need to play?

Nobody knows, there is only known about MMR that it is determined by Kills and Escapes. But I guess after like 10 or so games it should get better.

iirc the devs said at one point that it doesn't take very long. Roughly 10-20 matches to get you in the right range, depending on how matches go.
