with the new dnd map which has 2 levels, and others like midwitch and Gideon's, whispers should turn off if a survivor is not in the same level as you, similar to skull merchants tracking, for her it tells u whether a survivor is above or below you, so whispers should disable when no survivor is in your level.

That would be nice for sure. Suddenly decent generic perk

I feel like that would be a nerf and not a QoL change. Like yeah, you get to know if a survivor is on the same floor as you, but you could also be right by them on the opposite floor only separated by a nearby staircase and never know because the perk didn't turn on with this change.

You could just have some indication like Skull merchant has. You know if it same floor, lower, or higher… Even then I think it would be fine.

Yes, I agree it would make Whispers a little bit better. Currently, Whispers is a beginner perk and beginners get confused when the perk tells them someone is there but maybe not on the same floor as they.

I also think they could reduce the meter of the killer location from 32 to 28 which would be a nice buff but not too strong in my opinion. I was also thinking about that Whispers gets louder the closer you are to a survivor but I guess this could be too strong (any maybe annyoing from the Killer POV)? (of cause then not with a 28meter range).

I would like whispers to disable when a survivor is in dying state or hooked. I would use whispers as main stay perk in my builds.
