Reason I won't play the ps5 version of the game
I don't think there is a difference in the ps4 and ps5 version of the game but the only main reason I won't is because of the achievements. Some of the ones I have were out of pure luck and basically crying my eyes out when I got them. I still live in pride knowing the fact I got where did they go? Before the change to the key because I know I won't have the same feeling I got when earning it since the achievement now isn't this super massive challenge relying on others. It's the evil incarnate for survivors.
Some achievement I know I'll probably never get unless pure blind luck are as follows this also counts playing the game normally not being a friendly killer.
Any of Nurse's achievements: I got from the void she kills by throwing the game and this was before cross-platform hit plus getting the adapts weren't as hard since if I remember before hand it was just getting enough points to double pip.
Hemophobia: I know it's not impossible but I got the achievement just by blind luck nearly losing it because I faced a Trapper.
Happy Holidays: Also not impossible but can take a really REALLY long time since you can be at 99 but have to wait for the next event.
Left for Dead & Object of obsession: Both I only got because of a friendly killer.
But I think another part of it is just the memories those achievements have.
This post is basically pointless but it's more me saving that I know some achievements I won't be able to get for an extremely long time and just more nostalgia from when I started playing back in 2018.

Funnily enough, I've actually never paid attention to the achievements lol every time one pops up I'm like oh sweet, but I've never looked at them or tried to achieve them. I probably should. It'd give me something else to do

I'm confused, the ps4 and ps5 games are linked on PSN. If you upgrade to PS5, all of your trophies carry over on to the ps5 version. They automatically pop.
There was that massive bug that gave trophy progress every time you booted the game when they implemented it…
Or am I missing something?

I don't believe they do all 'automatically pop'.
If it's something like "throw 500 hatchets" or whatever, then it will pop the next time you throw a single hatchet.
But if it's a unique condition, it won't trigger until you acheive that unique condition again.

How weird… that sounds like a bug… especially given the original bug was popping things on sign in, so the intent seems to be have everything pop as you sign in… how rigorously has this been tested? I fear the big issue is you can only do this once… so you have to be sure to get everything the first time…
Would be a good test for someone with 100% completion on the PS4 version to get a PS5, migrate their game and see exactly what pops and what doesn't. is @jamally093 that hero? 😏0 -
I got to keep all my achiements moving from xbox one to xbox series would think playstation has same thing?

Here ye here ye I got your answer. Yes they unlock on ps5. Here's the steps.
Go to your trophies and press sync to PSN wait a bit since it takes time PATIENCE JEFFREY WHAT DID I SAY? And then open the ps5 version let the game load in and boom all trophies unlocked.
Note some won't but it's the basic ones like sacrificing survivors so it will take some work most the achievements kinda just stop for me after Adept Vittorio it stopped.

If you've got a complete list of trophies that don't unlock (and the time... not a short task sadly), that would be an excellent bug to report 🤘😁🤘

i switched from ps4 to ps5 back then.
I also had 100% on the Ps4 version there.
For the people confused here, ps4 and ps5 are actually 2 whole different versions and dont share trophys.
You will get some popped automatically like the prestige ones, but the gameplay ones you would uave to earn again.
Either way, i still dont understand your point.
You would not lose your ps4 trophys and people can still check them even if you play on ps5 instead.
I got the platinum there twice btw.
