So where Are the "Unknown Is OP" people at?
Seems like they forgot about him Once mid chapter happend.
Also the more I play him the more I think He Isnt as great anymore.

Trolling others by calling him OP and S or A tier grew old and boring.
Now people see he is the low tier killer with extra steps.

Unknown is pretty terrible.
If they just made it so direct hits with the grenade also applied the weakness effect and did damage, the killer would be in a much better spot. Right now, the ball is so easy to dodge its a complete joke. What unironically is the most effective thing this killer has, is running undetectable perks, and teleporting around then coming at the survivors from unexpected angles.

Unknown is horrible for new players to go against. That's why he is OP. They will release these killers that are incredible strong to counter and just expect the survivor players to adapt. (Which we end up doing). Doesn't make them not OP at release, just means we learn to adapt to it.

You clearly missed those topics where people complained that he can hit through walls and can teleport to his illusions more than once per match.

If every survivor had such mindset the game state would had been much healthier. Unfortunately it's much easier to complain and give up on first down so killer's kill rates get inflated very quickly which will always result into subsequent nerfs.

I literally played against 4 Unknowns today. And popularity doesn't correlate with strength anyway. How many times will we have to repeat this?

The first killer to be released new since i started playing this game was dredge.
Every killer including him has been called OP when they were newly released, unless people started to learn the counterplay to those.
Dredge, Singularity, alien are seen almost never, they had a very short popularity span. Chucky lasted a little longer but i barely see him now either. Only one to break this cycle was wesker for now, but i dont think he was called OP upon release, he seems to be perfect middle ground.2 -

Yeah, and the other side is that every Killer released will be called underpowered. This is the case all the time, sometimes the Threads that the Killer is too strong or too weak are right under each other.
Just shows that many players not really have a clue.

Unknown does new players a public service by getting them in the habit of looking behind.

I still think he's A tier tbh. The weird projectile lets him hit all sorts of weird shots and Hallucinations make him one of the best map control killers in the game. It also helps that he's a 115 Ranged killer.

They switched to Vecna. Vecna is OP in the next month, then everyone will learn how to play against him and he will stand somewhere on B tier. Then another new killer will be OP.

I think the game could benefit from not having as many new killers come out (I mean survivors are different as they’re just skins) so the player base can mature their roster. Maybe even have a chaos mode for killers where you have to play certain characters? I’m sure that won’t go down well for everyone though.
Maybe hold off adding new killers unless it is a genuine marquee character or adds real value.
I know that won’t always equate with the money generator the game has with new characters but I probably see more doctors for example than alien - probably because he has a more mature player base?

I've been playing him like death Slinger it seems to work pretty well as well as the option to hit through walls is nice

Unless you have objective proof that survivors are giving up on first down enough that it would inflate kill rates, I don't think that's a very fair statement to make.

That's literally not how it works.
You cant say "it's overpowered" while also saying "it's only effective against inexperienced players"? By that metric, literally everything would be overpowered since new players dont have the knowledge or skill to counter anything in this game.

I used to think that Unknown was OP, but then I played him for 10 games and struggled to get even a single kill. I understand now why he's mostly treated as an M1 killer that can teleport around the map. UVX just isn't very strong.

If you need an objective proof for that then you clearly haven't played enough. Things like this happen on daily basis, just play few extra games.

My 1500 hours of playtime beg to differ, and all you're saying is that you have no objective proof other than your own anecdotal experience. I play several hours a day, and I know for a fact that very few survivors actually give up on their first down. In my 1500 hours of playing, I've seen someone give up on their first down less than 15 times.
Your suggestion that it's happening anywhere near enough to inflate kill rates is rather incredulous.

Besides the grenade being bad cause weakened does nothing and detonation delay needs to be shortened hallucinations are pretty bad too mostly cause he can only have 4 and they can easily be cleansed in 5 secs per hallucination 7 if weakened. 1 survivor can easily deny his tp power i think unknown should have 6 spawnable hallucinations and quicker tp cooldown

Can i just say how bs the cleanse buffer is? You can look at unknown for .5 seconds look away break los and that cleanse will keep going for 3 more seconds

I'm more inclined to believe it's regional differences of MM. Perhaps you are not getting this many griefers on your end.
I get plenty, especially if I play as survivor. As killer, it's less often experience.

It's certainly possible, but it wouldn't be anywhere near enough to inflate kill rates since the stats we're given are a global representation rather than strictly one region.
I'm in the OCE Region, I play every night from 9:30pm to 2:30am and games as killer are almost always an uphill struggle. Games as survivor feel just as rough, killers almost always tunnel at 5 gens.

Well, I witnessed myself numerous times playing as survivor where people would intentionally throw themselves at killer and in the post-game chat they would first insult the killer player for whatever reason they found legit and brag that now killer will get nerfed because their kill rate stats would go too high. While I would expect some people would be doing this for such reasons, more often it happens unintentionally as survivor player wants to move to the next game because of bad start which I'm pretty sure counts as a kill which then contributes to the kill rate values.

This feels a little like bait haha. But if it's not, I will say I haven't seen many people say he is OP at all. He's good, in my opinion, and his stats reflect that, but in no way is he over powered. He feels balanced to me. Fun to play against, meaningful counterplay, and a fun design. I like noodle man :)

It counts as a kill, yes. I'm not denying that what you're saying happens, because it does. It just doesn't happen nearly enough on average on a global scale to have any noticable impact on kill rates.
As a reference, Nightlight.gg has kill rates per killer across a combined total of 54,386 games. Now, if we assume the average kill rate is 60% then that's 32,631 games. A 1% contribution is 326. That's how many games in which at least one person always gives up to have any meaningful contribution to that stat, and even 1% isn't very significant.

Thing is when one guy throws like that, chances that the remaining 3 survivors will also get sacrificed increase even if they do their best to survive. I'm not saying that all 4 just run to hook and feed but technically it will still count as 4k, even though it's only 1 guy who suicided intentionally ( aka 1k legit ), the other 3 count as collateral victims.

Unknown isn't op. Just not very fun to play against when you can be hit through walls and sometimes you go down in 20 seconds simply because you were unlucky and they had an illusion to teleport to.

There were people who thought he was OP? Most people seemed to agree he was strong against inexperienced players (as they generally don't look behind them and as such can't shake off weakness as well or dodge the power), but average against experienced players. I havent seen anyone change their mind on that.

Wesker is always so popular because he get a strong power with less effort to learn it
I'm not gonna talk about Dredge because.. Yeah, he need more love, he need something but dunno what
For the other (except chucky, who get pretty similar to wesker and skull because of chess) the other need more time to learn them, Hux, some people make some ######### move with him, Alien, since he got some tweak on his power, need more time to learn him, he can be super oppressive, but since it's not as easy than before to hit people with his tail, lot of people forget to play him
And Unknow, it's the same, even if his power seems easy to understand (basically, his shoot some slime who explode, need to touch the people again for injure people, and can teleport with his double) but you also need to learn how to use him
Nurse is the same, she can teleport, ok, but not everyone know how to play her0 -
He still is unloopable unless there is no los-blocker and you get rid of his effect fast enough.

Which should not be an issue since most maps have clutter that can block UVX and getting rid of weakened is incredibly easy.

I think most of the rage against Unknown has settled since people now knows well how to counter his power. This killer was so much spammed that people learned pretty quickly how to counter his orb.
Lets see what the community will think in the near future and hope he doesn't receive any nerfs.

It is kind of annoying to think "woohoo I didn't lose weakened alright!" And then your bubble bursts but I can kinda understand why it is, with the odd shaped loops and all the trash laying around these days.
