Why...WHY?

So had a match facing Vecna for once. Two people are left I died near the end so I decided to watch how the match ended an exit gate was opened a Leon standing at set exit gate...he goes down and gets picked up then dies on hook. Seriously this is my point you've opened an exit gate you should leave since even if your in a safe zone your still in the match. I know it's not effecting me in any way because it's a random but still I question why people do that since numerous times I've seen a teammate get killed because they decided to get way comfortable at the exit gate. The vecna also had that add-on where the skeletons fly very close to the ground so crouching wasn't going to work.

People have said "well you shouldn't let it bother you." Which I have been working on but recently I had a match where another Leon and Feng were teabagging the exit gate with a Kate really far from it the other one was still closed and she was in chase. They constantly kept teabagging until she was downed she might of had a chance to escape by hatch if they left it would be low but still.

They won? They deserve to let you know in some capacity. They should be allowed time to cheer and dance together. They over came a challenge and are happy good for them. This is a PVP game and by nature a winner and losers will exist every match to ask the other team to not be happy and to celebrate is to steal the point of competition. I get in our current society it's frowned upon to be happy and celebrate success but healthy minded people can sympathize with the winners and losers and don't complain about either

Just chase them out sheesh. It takes two to tango and your are equally holding the game back as they are

Again, they are wasting my time being sore winners. They aren't cheering and dancing: They are tormenting the killer by trapping them in a game they lost unless the Killer comes to chase them out just so they can mock them to their faces and teabag on the way out.

Lingering in the exit gates too long or teabagging in the gates should cause the Entity to instantly kill any survivor in the gate area.

They can cheer and dance all they want in the endgame chat or in a friend group, where Killer doesn't have to be present. If their celebration absolutely has to involve acting like a bunch of bullies to the Killer and rubbing it in, then it means they can't feel happy unless they make their opponent feel horrible, i.e. they can't feel happy without acting like complete human-shaped trash.

You realize most people are In solo Q and on systems that can't chat? Like I mentioned before it takes two to tango if your upset about your time chase them out? They also have a incentive to have you do that btw with added points for body blocking escaping chase and starting chase. The game its self rewards the behavior.

I'm sure you don't feel bad about getting the 4 kill or closing hatch or slugging at two or tunneling or anything else. It's just a shame the killer can only nod or spin for their dances which I see often and I respect the craft. Ghost face especially with his crouch dance is a fun one as well.

Simple fact is killers love making mountains out of mole hills as you waste time in fear of confronting challenger unless it's you who came out on top. I have no quarter for such fears it's a game your here for fun

It's not often I see such dedication to defending toxic behavior. "I won, so I earned the right to act like a jerk" is peak entitlement.

You don't have to like it but complaining whining being tiresome isn't going to change it. Being sore losers isn't going to make it go away. Just like the celebration when people get touch downs and win their sporting events people get excited here. It's sad many here dont understand basic sportsmanship. Your happiness is directly correlated to their losing/winning to be mad at how people express the excitement is in your words "peak" saltiness.

I personally don't even wait at the gates past finding out that everyone made it there safe but I'm not entitled to think my will should be forced on others like the people in this thread it's not my sand box I don't get to dictate how people play or celebrate and neither can you

How is it jerk entitlement? They're just stating a fact. You don't have to stand there and watch them teabag. Just chase them out. Who knows, you can get a free hit or two, or you might even get a free down or a kill. I know that's been demonstrated numerous times throughout the years.

And some of those celebrations last what 20-30 seconds

Also there are penalties for overdoing it

If all 4 Survivors are at the gates when the gate is opened, sure go ahead and get it out of your system but remember that it's for 20-30 seconds not almost 2 minutes

If a Gate is opened and no one's near it oh well escape by yourself

Also us Killer mains do have to realize that Survivors lose sight of the exit gates after like 5 seconds of the last Gen is done

SO it's ok to Teabag at the exit gates for almost 2 minutes but not ok for Killers to let the Survivor(s) die on the ground

Do what you want? The games basis is freedom slug tunnel camp that's the game if that's how you want to.

But don't forget your the killer the "power" role if you want them to dance for 20 seconds that's your choice if you want them to dance for 2 mins I suppose do it up. When I play killer I nod and let them go for a few seconds and then chase them out. That's the power I have and always have as the killer I'll never have my power taken away win or lose

i think the exit area is an underutilized part of maps in a development standpoint. it's seen as "a safe spot" where if you're healthy you can teabag and do whatever you want because you'll get a guaranteed escape (with some exceptions) or you're injured and you run up to the exit and stand there putting ghost pressure on the killer and forcing them to hit you to escape. end games are non-existent anymore (if you don't use perks) because you can see how much progress the last gen has and stand at the exit to open it immediately.

what do y'all think of some mechanic like the entity blocks the exits if a survivor stands in the area beyond the gate for x seconds or the exit gate becomes shut if a survivor stands in the area beyond it for x seconds at which point if they're not escaped they become sacrificed or some other idea…?

At least as Killer, you can do something about it. But for some reason, they don't. They just stand there and stare at the Survivors, waiting for the last second for them to leave, and I don't understand why.

You realize that survivors can start trials as a team and solo Q usually are the ones who escape without risking it? And if they are SWF, they actually can celebrate however they want since they have Discord groups or team chats. Also, the endgame chat is available for all.

As for "just chase them out". That's what they want. They want to mock the killer by making the killer go after them and fail to get them. Or they want to blind killer, to spit in their face as a goodbye. Their intention is very clear: when the Killer doesn't show up to the endgate, they start spamming noise notifications madly to make the Killer come and entertain them. I'm not giving them that satisfaction.

When I get a kill, the game is over. Survivors can even accelerate it by giving up on the hook if they don't want to stay in the trial anymore. Moreover, they don't have to stay at all — as soon as they're out, they're free to go next. The only way for Killer is to hold the game hostage is to slug all survivors and make them bleed out — which is something I don't do because I'd rather end the trial and go next, without wasting anyone's time.

I have an old screenshot where a Claudette stuck around to teabag and taunt me after she was fully healed. I run up, smack her then quickly Mori her all with Rancor, so close the back wall that the view of the Mori was blocked because I was as killer too close to the exit so the "WALL" sprung up.

EDIT: (Realized the screenshot is old, before the ability to hide survivor names was added, so going to edit out the names then repost it)

EDIT 2: Okay, here it is, edited.
