Why does BHVR allow bully squads to go unpunished?

Just ran into a three man bully squad (Who naturally pretended to have no idea what I was talking about post match when I saw all three were on each others friends lists) who spent the whole game out to torment me. The instant one got downed, the other two would rush up trying to bodyblock me from reaching a hook.

When two of them were dead, the third member of the bully squad hid the rest of the match and didn't come out of hiding until the solo queue member they had screwed over died on hook and I slammed the hatch shut.

I had wanted to let the solo queue go since they weren't part of it but the last bully squad member ended up leaving me no choice in order to try and flush him out. Naturally he teabagged at the gate on his way out when he did nothing to help earn the escape.

The end result of BHVRs refusal to do any sort of moderation or rule enforcement unless they absolutely have to is that it creates the massively toxic community the game is known for because they can't be bothered to put the work in.

The last member hid the remainder of the game. That falls under unsporting behavior due to not participating in normal gameplay. They hurt the solo queue player because they threw a tantrum.

So you got bully by a 3 man trio and you wanted to go get the last person? They seem more altruistic more compared to doing gens. These are the best one to played with cause of their altruism.

Bully squads definitely are a thing but I'm not sure this was one of them. It sounds like they were just trying to play the game, albeit they were playing to win.

It's also possible they were playing "protect the president" for funsies in a SWF. The answer to that is just sorta… to slug them or keep pressuring them with chase because they will never do a gen? It's not really that deep.

Now if they all kept going for only blinds, only stuns, only sabotages, then that might be a bully squad, but it doesn't look like it here. Also you won the round. I get it, winning against teams like this feels frustrating and unfulfilling, but it's truly not that deep, they weren't toxic, they did nothing wrong here, and body blocks aren't hard to deal with unless they all bring endurance perks or something - and even then it's only a problem once those perks are activated.

Bully Squads are frustrating but they’re not doing anything against the rules. You’re supposed to match their energy as Killer. Find the weak link and tunnel them out. Slug and bleed them out if you have to as well. They can just be seen as a group of sweaty players trying to use every advantage the game provides them, not unlike killers who tunnel and slug from the start of a match.

You want them to punish people that don't break a single actual rule? And no, the hiding wasn't taking the game hostage or anything. You had a clear path to end the match that you eventually took (killing the other survivor), if both of them were locker cycling in an obscure corner of the map then you'd have some sort of a point, but that's clearly not what happened.

meanwhile I get told as a killer in end game chat by a person in my own country, that I'm gonna get groped and raped if I go outside, just for being a female playing a game with the perks I like. maybe prioritize what behaviour should actually be punishable when playing a game.
