Sweaty survivors
so I’ve been playing DBD and I’m mostly a killer main but I’ve noticed the survivors I’m going against have just shot up from being decent with good matches to just straight up insane?
They’re unbearably strong every single game. The bodyblocking, the looping, the knowledge of the maps, the map offerings, the gen efficiency. They’re looping me ridiculously strong with vecna where I genuinely feel mage hand is proving useless. Is the nerf in?
They are absolutely unbelievable and I’m losing games en mass as a result I genuinely can’t compete with them what is happening? Like I’ve had strong survivors but never like this they are insane is all I can say the saves they’re getting on each other as well.
I don’t even think they’re a Swf all the time but it really feels like they are with how strong they are as a team. Have I actually made it to top mmr and how do I get it down? I don’t think I’m ready for this level of play seriously. I’m not that good at the game.
I think it’s too soon for my mmr to be like this. But does anyone have any tips on how I can compete with this? Every single game it’s so ridiculously sweaty I’m actually losing my enjoyment. I don’t mind them getting out I just play for hooks than kills and like to make a good game not tunnelling. But now I feel like I have to tunnel to even have a chance when I even manage to down one at all.
im all for sweaty games but not this sweaty where I just feel like a doll even on a killer who’s meant to be strong since he’s being nerfed.
Does anyone have any tips on what to do to contend with this level of play? Like if I had clips to show I would I genuinely wish I had teammates like these when I play survivor because Jesus.

One of the largest tournaments for dbd has a free ladder service where you can 1v1 for ranking that has been blowing up. It's very easy to get practice in vs good players so that's probably a factor in you seeing more competent survivors. You need to play surv & killer in these, but if you want to get better that is the place.

I don’t have an interest myself in tournaments. I really do play for fun and not competitive. Vecna is my favourite killer since he reminds me of Baldurs gate which is one of my if not my favourite all time game. I know they’re the same universe so that enhances the connection.
Like when I’ve been playing Vecna I’ve been having a total blast like I haven’t in ages on this game I took a break for a while as well to add to the rust I haven’t played since the unknown came out.
Vecna brought me back and I’ve been playing for 2 weeks most days for a lot of time. I’m just shocked at how sweaty it’s gotten it’s so sudden. I wish I could see how or why it’s like this.

They use special rules for balance.
As there are 2 different modes with the masquerade i think the hardcore players play this first at the moment.
Got my first game and they were also pretty strong.

Matchmaking is broken.
I've never seen my teammates do the stuff I've seen as killer.
10-1 ratio survivor to killer.

yeah exactly this. Like as I said I do play killer more than survivor so I’m a better killer than survivor but never in my daysssssss have I had teammates like these. I can’t pull off the plays they do.
If I was a strong survivor like them and had teammates like them I’d be a survivor main all the time since it must be fun being that good at survivor.1 -
That's what is happening, the hardcore people play hardcore to get tome stuff done, then they will move back to the main mode. Happened for the Modes, will happen here.
