So are all events just for killers?
This is the second event in a row thats killers sided. This isn't fun BHVR. I've been tunneled twice and they don't even have to hook me. Ridiculous!!!

Three times tunneled. This is stupid . They have to fix this!!! All three games.... No more than two gens got done

Well, I play bloodwarden + Stbfl only Pig and have very mixed matches. Some I win, some I lose. I dont tunnel and I dont camp. After playing my regular rounds of survivor to end the session, I found the silence on command to be incredibly strong. Old iron will is one hell of a powerful ability to just pull out of ones hat for free.
The card that heal the entire team is also incredibly strong. All things considered, I do feel like killer actually got the short end of the stick this time around. Fair enough, last year, kilers where able to insta down survivors at bloodlust one. That was also incredibly strong.
Just a quickl reminder, that tunneling is not happening more because of this event. People tunnel normally and during the event. Why should they just change how they play? Certainly not for you or me. Sad as this may be. It is definitely not the devs job to make sure that nobody tunnels. Thats a task that has been unsolvable for almost 8 years now.

I just wish killers could see this. Zero kills, I think all 2 hooks except one. 247k. It was a loss but I actually got my Spirit hit achievement completed as well. I love these events for just that. Get a lot of BP and work on achievements

"I wish killers could see this"
I wish people would finally understand that people play both roles in this game.

Survivors got pretty nice tools too, whether you can utilize it or not is a different matter

Wasn't the exposed effect from last year's anniv the only problematic thing that was complained about? Remote hooking (excluding the bugs) is enough for the event to be Killer sided?
Also, how can you get tunneled twice by the Killer but not be hooked OP?
3 -
Very true. The old iron will on demand is extremely strong if used properly imo.
3 -
No, they don't. The party pallets are hard countered by the stun reduction ability killers got and the fact that even if survivors play perfectly as long as hits are only validated on killers side you can still get hit through pallets.
The window blocker only matters on a few select maps since most of them have gaping holes next to them so it's not like you make much distance by using it.
Which only leaves stealth mode which… it's stealth.3 -
This is how I play on survivor side with my friends. We just wanna max out our points and then we always give the killer all their hooks and the kills if they want. I’m not concerned with escaping every match for this event, I want the BP to level up my mains.

I just don't understand why killers get access to several abilities at once. I went against an insta-pallet destroying remote hooking Blight & that was a lil much. So he doesn't have to break pallets or even take me to the hook. Very reasonable.

Quiet mode and spawn pallets is fine tho? Why are Survs allowed to have several abilities at once but killers dont?
Oh almost forgot, blocking windows too!
9 -
I mean, the strength comparison is absurd is what I'm dialing in on. Survivors can spawn a party pallet that is near useless & against any good killer main, is basically just a meme. Quiet mode is like a mini-buffed up Iron Will so I won't get into that, as its still useful in chase.
But you compare stun reduction, insta pallet destroying to completely deny any tile mindgames or possibility of getting to another tile, a remote hook ability that hooks survivors for you…everything just gives the killer more efficiency.
If you're going to give them multiple abilities at once, it should be on the same level as survivor's.

Thank god they made two different queues for the anniversary this year.
The Twisted Masquerade's one is awful to play as survivor, killers have too much power.12 -
Overall I'd say killer got the stronger stuff but Quiet Mode is incredibly strong and the team-wide heal makes slugging super risky.
3 -
I don’t see the insta heal as very helpful when it exposes you, so you’re still a one shot, just not an injured one shot. Still super risky
4 -
So are all events just for killers?
Always have been.
1 -
You can't really compare the killer event powers to survivor event powers bc killer powers will be individually stronger since it's a 1v4.
7 -
Quiet mode has saved my ass multiple times, it's definitely stronger than it seems. And a well timed window block on the right map can turn a hit into a near miss, or block off things like Shack making it really problematic for some Killers to deal with. Survivors definitely have decent tools this time around.
Overall, Killer abilities this time are stronger - but I have to remind you, that's OK. Killer stuff is ALWAYS supposed to be stronger because they're the 1 in the 4v1. They have to be stronger. It's FINE for them to have a pallet break, a remote hook, a stun endure. If you really cannot handle this maybe it's time to work on looping skills a bit more, learning to conserve strong pallets instead of predropping, handling chase if the Killer can't be stunned, or bring perks to help? There's absolutely no shame in that. :) You have the tools. You just need to be willing to use them.
I lowkey think with some tweaking, the remote hooking could be an amazing antitunnel tool for base game too. If the Killer can sacrifice something or need to build tokens to use an auto hook feature that say… shoves someone on the furthest hook from them, that could solve a lot of issues with tunnelling and proxy camping already. It could also reduce the power of certain bully tactics used primarily on weaker, baby, and M1 Killers. I don't see why we don't have some sort of alternative to hooking, actually. It could change the game for the better.

Just for killers and survivors nobody else
5 -
But the killer is only chasing one person, so any other injured survivors just get a free heal, and if they're slugging, the survivors get a free pickup.
5 -
OK this one made me laugh, thanks for adding some perspective and levity.
1 -
Then should have added better items to survivors.... Not having to walk to a hook is just too easy

Buddy you have toolboxes, flashlights, and medkits that are the equivalent of a green version of each item, and need I remind you toolbox sabo on the best toolboxes INCLUDING event ones got buffed? You have "better items", you are getting free decent flashlights, free Commodious boxes, and free decent medkits EVERY bloodweb, as Survivors always have every event.
4 -
OP, we had a winter event where snowmen were overpowered for survivor. How come you never mentioned that event?
8 -
Do not tell them about the portals from the halloween event, their narrative couldnt handle such a thing.
5 -
30 second Exposed is pretty easy to outlast. Had it pop for me against a Legion, then just stuck near main building while blocking the window behind me. Resulted in all good things for the team and 0 benefits for the killer.
2 -
Super fun when I get healed mid chase and I no longer benefit from Resilience or Dead Hard, absolutely stellar.

Devs doing events or gamemodes i dont think care about the balance that much the whole point is limited time unbalanced wackiness. The most complained power expose on demand got removed so they listen to a degree
1 -
Yeah, I didn't like the idea of 2 separated queues but now I understand why
I think the devs are self aware
4 -
Some people you just can't satisfy.
2 -
People found the remote pallet breaking annoying also (and rightfully so), preventing the survivor from vaulting the pallet makes it probably the best zoning tool ever added to the game.

The strongest abilities added to both sides (remote hook and quiet mode) promote less interaction between killer and survivors. This even is a snoozefest. ZZZZzzzzzzz
1 -
Some yes, some no. Sometimes survivors get some broken events. The halloween event gave survivors a free health state. Was pretty nuts XD
1 -
I guess you weren't paying attention by the fact that literally ALL survivor abilities get countered by the killers abilities + their perks. Killers get to effectively SNOWBALL survivors by reducing stun, destroying pallets (Instantly) & Remote Hooking.
It's literally one sided and this ISN'T for debate.
Case in point. No gens done, all of us killed before even one gen pops; killer walked away with at least 45K+. (Vecna BTW) There is no room for killers to say "The games are still survivor sided." With displays like this that show STONE cold evidence that it's NOT. Please, get together.2 -
A single screenshot is not evidence of anything
4 -
Did you know there is games with zero hooks and everyone escaped, that is not a myth
1 -
The only unfairly killer-sided part of the event is the remote pallet break. I don't understand why they brought it back.
